Football players can't pray for coaches daughter!!!

There is a town north east of Cadillac Michigan called Lake City which recently was threatened to be sued by the Michigan Association of Civil Rights Activists.

Why was the Michigan Association of Civil Rights Activists threatening to sue them, because they dared to pray for the football coaches’ daughter on the football field.  His daughter, named Harper, has been hospitalized with an intestinal illness for the last two months,

How did the activist find out about these good people wanting to pray for little Harper?

WWTV reported that the football team decided to post a video of the “family circle” praying moment on their Facebook page last month, and the Michigan Association of Civil Rights Activists was appalled and taken back by the “family circle” of people praying on school property.

Co-founder of the Michigan Association of Civil Rights Activists, Mitch Kahle was quoted in the article stating:

The bottom line is it’s the property of the school and the school has a responsibility to treat it just like any other school property, and that means it has to remain free of religion… I don’t think anybody has been impeded at all in whatever they wish to do to support this family. This isn’t about a family, it’s not about an individual it’s about a person in the community who feels that their public school should not be used to promote religion, and clearly from the video you can see that’s what’s being done

I ask the question how is a group of people coming together in a “family circle” to pray promoting a religion?

What religion did they promote?

Do not many religions pray?

Did he not bother to find out that no one was forced to join the “family circle”?

I would then ask Mr. Kahle why he has so much hatred in his heart.

Some of the parents of the football team members stated:

Nobody was forced…It was planned by students and parents; it was just a great show of support for the family…Yes, a pastor offered prayer, but it was never advertised as a prayer event; it was a family circle coming to support Kyle, Harper, Linda, and Hudson.

Jennifer Smith told WWTV:

All they’ve really done for us is increase the funding, the fundraising, and there are schools down in Jennison that are now wearing #harperstrong on their football helmets

Good for the team and more importantly Harper and her parents.  Why is there so much hate in people’s hearts that they cannot even allow for some people to pray on school property?

The First Amendment to the Constitution states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Mr. Kahle please point to me where in the First Amendment to the Constitution it states that people cannot practice a religion on government property.

I have been asking this question of atheist for years and not one can successfully point to anywhere in the constitution that there must be a separation between the state and religion.

Good luck Harper and may God be with you and your family.

By the way is it not better that football players are taking a knee for something rather than against something?

I would also suggest that people pray for Mitch Kahle that God may replace peace in his heart filled with hate.

I believe its called the "establishment clause". I don't see how having a moment to pray, reflect, invoke good vibes, meditate for good karma establishes an "Official Religion".  I guess if you state a "spiritual moment for reflection for positive outcome" you inoculate yourself from the F***wads.
