Wow, good luck with the new job!! I hope you get enough time off to take advantage of those liberal deer seasons! The east coast is a beautiful place to live. Is your family looking forward to the move?

    BOWFISHING IN THE COLD

Wow, that's a haul. Carp is good eating, but that would be a ton of fish to eat! Fish cakes that we made out of smoked carp years ago were really good.

Boiled head and ended up with 2 extra canine teeth.

Is it possible that one set of canines split in half? that often happens with javelina and they can split so perfectly that it might look like another set of teeth...

Arizona Commissioners Elk Tag Sells for $385,000

No, that's not really correct. All the money gets spent according to how the AGFD Habitat Partnership Committee decides it should be spent. You can read about the process on the AGFD website and you can see how the money from last year's tags was spent. The HPC process is a public process and you can volunteer to be on the committee and get involved to help determine how the money should be spent. You can even put together a proposal for a project that you would like to see funded. The forms are on the webpage linked below. http://www.azgfd.gov/w_c/hpc.shtml

How did you process your pig?

I get my game meat cooled and processed as quickly as possible and then when I get home, I clean and trim it more, then I freeze it in portions that I would normally use for a meal. When I want to eat some I let it thaw in the refrigerator and plan on a letting it age in the fridge for several days before eating it. I guess I like the idea of aging it in a controlled temp environment better than hanging it in the up and down temps we get here in AZ. Seems to work well for me.

    Whats your dream hunt?

I would love both, but for now, I would do the drop camp and do the lodge when I get older and it's harder to get around.

    Zeiss 12X45 or 15X45's

The zeiss 15x45s are a little dark in low light because they aren't large enough to let as much light in as 15x56s do. I would get the swaro 15x56s....or get the new swaro 12x50s....but dang, they are pricey! GREAT GLASS though....lots of people are selling their swaro 15s to get the brighter, lighter, 12x.
