Cellular Trail Cameras - Any Recommendations?
CouesWhitetail replied to HD Trophy Hunts's topic in Trail Cameras
I haven't used any of the cellular trail cameras personally since I don't tend to get cell service where I want to put a camera, but I do sell the covert brand camera. If you don't like it, you can get a refund. You can check out the camera in the CW store. http://store.coueswhitetail.com -
Thanks for all the additional info. I submitted a request to tech support early yesterday, but haven't heard back. Usually they are pretty quick, but right now it seems they are backed up from christmas. I will get this fixed as soon as I can. In the meantime, if you posted any hunt stories or photos since Christmas, you might want to copy and paste the story into a word document so that you have a copy of it. It's possible that if they can't find the malicious code, that we will just have to reload a backed up version of the forum from before Christmas, which means any posts made after that might be lost. So if it's important to you, you might save your stories.

hey everyone! Today is the 10 year anniversary of CouesWhitetail.com! I launched this site on my mother's birthday, 10 years ago. And wow, what a ride it has been for the last ten years. I just wanted to say thank you to all the great people who contribute so much to this site. Your generous sharing of photos, stories, advice, and even money has kept this site growing exponetially ever since it started. We are bigger and better than ever and I truly have enjoyed the friendships I have made with people on this site. Thank you everyone!

Type unit 37b arizona into google and you should be able to find the info page about the unit on the agfd webpage. Each unit report has info for all the species in the unit, along with suggestions on where to hunt

I am checking with tech support to make sure things are safe. But it's Christmas and they have limited tech support today.... make sure you have your anti-virus software updated!

I am having zero problems....everything seems normal to me. that's very weird....

Awesome!

Merry Christmas!!

Also, April and May seem to be the worst months for wind, so if you skip those months you can cut out a lot of the problem windy days.

That was a fun contest!! I think she is about 6 or 7 now. She is getting all gray in the face and sometimes her hips bother her, but she still is young at heart! We actually thought she would never live past age 4 because she has NO fear of anything and leaps off cliffs and runs into trees and barbed wire fences at full speed when she is chasing something sometimes! I spend a lot of my time gasping and shrieking when I watch Julie fly through the desert and forest! She is a super athlete! She always wants to carry things and she greets me every morning by jumping up on the bed carrying either some socks, my hiking boots or the TV remote!! She doesn't chew them up, just carries them around. She loves being a retriever!

Here is Julie oh so Happy again because she found an elk leg in the woods near our friends house. She brought it back and rolled around on the grass chewing it up!! and here she is staring at the same friend's cat...she can't help it! She would try scooting a little bit closer now and then. She really wanted to chase that cat!
-
yes, she does and she would love to let you rub it all day!!

Julie running in the snow the other day! She was SO HAPPY!! (as she always is, that's just her nature!) and her friend Sunshine enjoying a roll in the dirt....she LOVES the dirt!

How long did you have the camera out? On cameras that I use, I keep the sensitivity on high and use three shot photo burst because I like to look at everything that might come in, from elk and bears to small birds and squirrels. I just posted a video of photos from a camera that was left out for a year. I always get some blank shots because of the wind, but have reduced those signficantly by thinking about where I place them. here is the video in case you didn't see it.....I think it's fun to see all the critters out there! Hopefully you will have just as much fun when you figure out what settings work for you!

Wow, nice finds!
-
any vegetation movement can trigger it to take pics....so just try and pics spots that won't have waving branches or grass in the view of the camera. I recommend keeping it on the 3 shot burst.....many times you can get better looks at bucks at different angles using three shot burst. Sometimes you also can get just the nose of an animal triggering the camera and then it steps into view, so the next two shots get it.

Can't wait to see the pics!

That is quite the story!! Congratulations!

That is so cool!! Thanks for sharing your find!! I would be stoked!

Boycott Sportsman's Warehouse?
CouesWhitetail replied to Bravo's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Actually I heard it personally from an employee so nice try with your assumptions Amanda. Sorry if you felt like it was intended to be a hear/say rumor. Wasn't my intent. That's why I updated my post with the info that SW sent me. I didn't say you didn't hear it directly from the person...that was exactly my point....Just because someone says something to you doesn't make it true. wow, you really just don't seem to get that you slandered a company based on false information that you received. Just because it was information you heard personally does not make it not a rumor. And you still haven't even apologized for spreading false information and trying to get people to boycott a company based on false information. -
Any body know about this deer? From AZGFD Site.
CouesWhitetail replied to dieselroe's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Bill, It is not AGFD that misspelled the name, thats just the title provided by the poster.
