A few years ago in Unit 29 archery hunting there was a warden down there that kept checking everyone and saying that if you have a bow in your vehicle it must be put in a case and out of reach. If it was in plain sight then he considered you road hunting and would be cited. Another discussion with a warden at a taxidermist said that even glassing from a stopped, shut off and parked vehicle would be considered road hunting if an animal was spotted and then pursued. He said as the rule is written it could be interpreted many ways and that many wardens interpret it differently. Brian

That's cool! As much calling as I've done, I have never seen one. Caught a few back in my leg hold trapping days but never called one. Brian

This ^^^^^^^^ Hunted a bunch down there in years past. This is exactly what I have found. Been About 5 years since I've hunted down there for deer but I quit doing because of the huge increase in traffic. Brian

I served once on a jury. Second degree attempted murder. It was a neat experience. Just don't need to do it again. Brian

Brady Ellison won the bronze in archery. Lost a chance at a gold medal in a shoot off. It was a heck of a match against the S. Korean. Brian

My dad and I did a morning trip to San Carlos today. It took us a while to find them and figure a pattern but ended up catching some nice crappie and one catfish. Lake depth at the dam is 20ft. The end of the lake is between Jackrabbit and Mojave Pt. Brian

I only have two deer point, so it wasn't worth it. Now that I'm starting to get up in elk points, I probably will. I did for sheep. Brian -

Striper fishing is spectacular. Can catch as many as you want to deal with in the 2-4lb range. The smallmouth fishing was really good but they were a little bit on the small side. Amazing lake and scenery. Fished from Navajo Canyon all the way up to the San Juan. Brian

We didn't fish for any on this trip. Brian

Never thought I would be the first

Non res deer. he said he bought a lifetime license though? Still pay non res fees but still considered res in the draw.
