In five days of glassing 21 we found three herds. That was five full days solid behind tripod and glass. It takes time. I have been very fortunate to have a great friend that taught me everything I know about hunting, and glassing was one of the first things he got me hooked on. Lots of time and slow patience. Good glass has made a difference for me. We will be in 20b for my son’s hunt in a few weeks. Hopefully one of our normal herds is around.

I made the jump last year and it is worth it. Light gathering at dusk/dawn and cloudy days is worth it. The clarity and colors are far superior as well. It was worth every penny and it only hurts once. If you glass a lot I would go with the 15’s.

My son picked one out today. Nice wide 3x3 that was mounting does. Had at least four other bucks and 20 or more does with him but he was running the show. Just couldn’t pass him up and had my younger son and my good friend with me.

Back up in 21 and headed out in the morning. Hopefully find my son a nice mule deer. He has been doing well and patient for 10 years old. Just need the bigger bucks to start cruising.

The rims are 12”. Fronts are 9” wide and rears are 11” just like they come stock.

The mongrels were good for me but the rears wore fast.

Not sure of a shop but I have a new set of General tires for sale that I have in my crew. They are 27” with about 150 miles. Only reason I am selling is to go bigger. Let me know if you are interested.

Missed this last post. Been on my sons Unit 21 deer hunt. I am in West Phoenix and it is probably four years old. Sorry for the late reply.

We will be up there for the week after Christmas. Hopefully see some bigger bucks come in but we have seen some decent rut activity. Pretty much every group of does has had a buck.

Have the Unit 21 mule deer tag. Seen lots of deer but only one good buck so far.

They are the nose bleeds.

Don’t the mike deer rut earlier? I have heard this in the past and seems to be what I have seen in the past.

Headed to 21 on Thursday for my son. Saw some fighting two weeks ago. Hopefully we can find some mulies in the rut.
