    Yep....again....

Lance you had said that the Proof Barrel on my 300 win may get faster. Well 123 rounds later went from 2810 to 2884 shooting 215 Grain Bergers this is out of a 24 Inch barrel. I ran it up to 2910 with 6 more grains of powder no signs of pressure but the group opened up a bit and it just shot really good at 2884. The turrets on the S&B work fine so I can dial up a bit if I have to . Love the copper colors of your gun what a beauty.
  18. I was looking for a lightweight 300 Win asked Eric at AXIS works if he could figure it out, he did. 6 pounds 12 ounces without Scope and Bipod 9 pounds 4 ounce with SIghtron SIII 6 x 24 x 50 and a Atlas Bipod. Load development this weekend Kelbly Atlas action 24 inch Proof Reserch barrel McMillian Game Hunter Stock Trigger Tech trigger
  19. Lance I went with 1.0 Seekins just didn’t want to grind the rail on the new Kelby action. The weight went up 12 ounces It weighs in at 10 pounds. I worked up a new load using 215 Berger’s and H1000 three rounds at 100 Yard
  20. Decided to upgrade the scope a tad I know its overkill but always wanted a Schmidt & Bender and was fourtunate enogh to find one for a good deal. Going out tomorrow to give it a whirl.
  21. 5 rounds 210 Berger’s HPBT .020 off the lands Powder 75.5 gr H1000. It will shoot.

    Gitzo TriPod

I would do $280 for the tripod only
  25. I shot a few deer and a bighorn sheep with a Remington 660 in 308 no brake 3x9 redfield scope killed everything I shot, 250 was the longest shot and never felt recoil on a hunt. I absolutely hated sighting it in kicked like heck and just wasn’t fun. Now I shoot a lot more for fun then hunting unfortunately, and brakes make it enjoyable and no question I am a better shot with less recoil.
