Well after trying them all, Sightron has about the worst possible customer service and also the least longevity and Vortex isn't much better. I'm talking tracking and consistency of adjustments, you have to hit what you're shooting at. What good is a lifetime guarantee when the product fails at the worst possible moment, right in the middle of that hunt of a lifetime or right at moment you're about to shoot that perfect score in the match of your lifetime. Pay the price and cry only once! I havent had to use customer service on the Sightron yet guess that s a good thing Its the SIII model but it was only $800 on sale but I guess I got screwed based on your experience. I have only shot maybe 400 rounds so far but its on a little 300 Win so not a huge round but if it was on a 338 or a 50 cal I am sure it would have fallen apart by now, so probably on round 500 it will fail. Then I will switch to the taticool Nightforce and it will never break and I can tell everyone how bitchen I am.

LCazador can you expand on why Sightrons are in your opinion garbage ? I have one and seems like a decent scope was thinking of getting another one but is there something I am not seeing that makes them bad?

Here is a Petromax lantern that is built to last. They are made in Germany this one is from 1961 it was never used has fuel funnel and adjustment tool. Comes with a steel case using springs top and bottom to secure it. Looked it up on ebay and they are selling without case for $150. I am asking $150 with case.
