    Fishing Alaska

Did this in 2012 check Sure Strike out they were great.
  2. We killed 23 the first day and the second day we blanked tons of birds hovering but would not commit to the decoys. The guide said that there are reports of snow's already in South Dakota so it shouldn’t be long before you are blazing away .
  3. Did a Spring Goose hunt in Missouri and it was great. I have never seen so much waterfowl in my life.
  4. We used Top Gun outfitters they were good, the guide was very professional and safe. There may be better outfitters out there and I am sure ones not so good but for the first time doing this I was not disappointed. With the crazy weather all the guides were chasing their tail a bit trying to stay up with the location of the birds. I am not one to exaggerate and I truly believe that the three days I was in Missouri I saw no less then 300,000 snow geese in the air. Friday when I arrived there was a stretch of geese that flew over us for more then 15 minutes and was at least 2 miles long Crazy.

    300 win mag

I know that every rifle likes different loads. I experimented with three different powders using the same bullet, and out of the three H1000, H4350 and H4831 SC the H4831 was the best for my Ruger. Here is the load 185 grain Bergers Hunting VLD's, with 71 grains of H4831 SC, OAL 3.35, Neck crimped .332, Nosler Brass, Win Primer. Shoots just under 1 MOA at 100 yards. PM me if you need to find some powder
  7. Hello all I have just started to get back into big game hunting took more years off then I want to admit. I took my sons on a cow elk hunt in December with great success and wanted to try my luck on Javelina with a bow. I used to bow hunt exclusively so in March I bought a new Hoyt Spider and have been practicing a lot, this new technology helps with the learning curve what a difference from my old bows. So if anyone can give me a few pointers on hunting units 16A 39 41 42 or 44A I would be grateful. I know it sounds like a lot but I am game to try any of these units. I was in 42 and 44A this Saturday and found quiet a few deer so I was encouraged that I can still glass well enough to find deer just could not find any pigs. I am not asking for secret spots just areas to glass, I can screw it up from there. Thanks

    My Sons elk hunt

I was fortunate enough to find a great outfitter in New Mexico that had cow landowner tags available for a reasonable price. I just never seemed to have the time over the last five years to put my sons in for Arizona where we live, and when we did get drawn for deer I didn’t spend the time needed for a quality hunt. Well it has been predetermined that we only get one shot at this game of life and my sons are getting older and so am I, so I sprung for two cow tags in New Mexico not expensive compared to bull tags but there is a cost. The guide was great he was out of Springerville good man. I only have PICS of my first son’s smaller cow, she was shot at 250 yards and follow up shot at 300 yards. First shot was low went through her and blew out her front left leg. Second shot hammered her. My younger son shot his at 380 yards a little back from being perfect she ran down the valley stopped and he put another one in her at 500 yards game over. Forgot the camera on our hike in and had to quarter her to get her out. Rifle was a 1974 Ruger M77 300 win that had a break installed, trigger work and refinish done by a smith hear in AZ. He is known more for his 1911 work but did me a favor, thanks Theo.

    Two Older Bows

I have two older bows for sale SOLD for both or some 22 Ammo or make me an offer. The first one is a 1992 Hoyt Easton Super Slam The Second is a Hoyt Easton Carbon Limb Pro Hunter I think about 1986 vintage. I think they are both 29 or 30 inch draws. I had the Super slam re-strung 6 months ago.

    winchester 88 value

I would not trust the guys at Cabelas just saying. Your better off looking online on what they are selling for, not what they are listed for and then determine the value.
  18. Elk Country ammo and arms may have one they are in PA.
  19. Ted Yost is the smith who did the work. He is one of the best 1911 smiths out there, but back in his younger days he was a very good long range target shooter. His experience gave him the idea for a brake that works well and does not stress the barrel. When fired It is like a long push and really takes any snap out of the recoil. It is about the same or less then my .270
  20. I have wanted a 300 Win for some time so I bought and old M77 a while back. A close friend of mine who happens to be a very good smith said he would put a break on it for me. Well he got a lttle caried away and this is what he gave me back. I am in awe on how good it loooks and shoots damm good also. This is stock barrel and stock stock he just did his magic on both. Wish I would of taken some before photos. Lower left target was after I found the right load, 185 Berger being pushed by 72 Grains of H4381SC

    Raccoons in AZ

I always see a few in the Bradshaw's, Mt Union, Spruce Mt etc. Tons around the family cabin in that area especially if you forget and leave the dog food bag out.
  22. A great friend of mine invited me out the last day of duck hunting this year and man did we we have fun. We were hunting over decoys in flooded fields. The day before we went it rained so much I thought I was going to see Noah pass us in his boat while driving to our area. For those of you don't know who Noah is well god bless you. When we pulled up on our secret spot at o dark thirty no lees then 300 ducks went I am out of here, fortunately they decided to come back and we had our limit by 8 am. Shooting ducks over decoys is good times.
  23. Espos in Chandler already mentioned but great burritos and tamales.
