    UPDATE PAYMENT INFO!

I think that's the date we are all wanting to know by. Last year it happened 2 days before NM was due.
  2. Yes it would be... BUT, we call him "97" as his name. He does not score 97". We call him "97" because that is the number on his ear tag. Real original I know... lol! He is however a great mid 80's B&C record buck! Lance Oh, well I didn't think he was that big but they are so hard to judge. Cool pictures though, congrats on a great year.
  3. That's awesome. 97" would be the new state record right?

    When does the rut end?

I saw 7 herds of doe this weekend, not one buck with them. Back to work now, broke my streak of killing in January....at 2 years in a row.
  7. Congrats Jeremy, great story. Tell Austin I said Hi. Brandon

    The boil out ...

Looks great. So, another trick I've been told but haven't tried yet. Water down some white wood glue and paint it on, supposed to seal it.

    The boil out ...

X2 on Nice Buck. I use Mule Team Borax instead of dish soap. Also, any skull I've had frozen first turned out much better. Not sure if there is something to that or not but my experience.
  10. Put this together last year as my first rifle project. Didn't pay attention to the weight and it came out a little heavier than I liked. Came in at 11.5 lbs with scope and bipod. Need to sell this one to fund the new lightweight project. Only 20 rounds through the new barrel. With $50 in tools this can be easily changed to different calibers in the .30-06/.308 family. I'm in Safford and will meet a buyer from Phoenix or Tucson halfway. Barrel- Criterion Barrel- 26" long, light varmint contour, 1-9" twist. Chamber- .280 Remington. Action- Savage 116 stainless weather warrior w/ Accutrigger. Stock- Bell & Carlson Medalist, black w/ silver web. Precision ground recoil lug and barrel nut from Northland Shooters Supply. Tacticle bolt handle. Weaver 2 piece steel bases. Comes with the "GO" and "NO-GO" .280 headspace gauges. The scope, sling, bipod, rings, and level are all sold already. Asking $1100 OBO, taking a loss on this project and not really in a hurry to sell.

    Mule Deer and Golf Courses

I used to be a golf pro at Mountain Brook Golf Club in Gold Canyon. We had mule deer on the driving range quite a bit in the summer. The bunkers on the range would puddle up from the sprinklers and they would come lay in them...while people were hitting balls too.
  13. Drew my first goat tag this year. Pretty excited to get out and do some scouting. How is access in 3B North? Most of the unit looks to be private but is it posted? I wanted to start scouting the area outside of Concho around Mesa Redonda and Critchlow Flat. Can I get into these areas without permission or do I need to start looking for land owner contacts?

    3B North Archery Antelope

Welp, tag soup for me, couldn't get in close enough for a shot. If anyone knows someone with the 3BN Muzzy tag that starts this week I can give them directions to the best buck I was chasing. If they like him I'm sure they will get him the first morning. I got to 150ish yards about 5 times but couldn't get closer.

    2014 Idaho Lope Hunt

That's great, Congrats. Unbelievable cause is right, I still can't read a story about those guys without getting choked up.

That sounds like how I expected it to work. Had another heard look at me and walk off today. The bucks just don't seem to care that I'm there like I thought they would. Going to try the cow decoy for the next few days. Been shooting at camp with it attached to my bow and can still hit a paper plate out to 70. I didn't want to use it without a partner to hold it but I'm up here alone for 12 days so need to make something work. Antelope 9, Me 0.....

Antelope 6, Me 0 No shortage of bucks up here but dang they are hard to get close to. This is going to make hunting Muleys in January seem easy. Got to 120 with the Be-The-Decoy this afternoon but he just wouldn't come closer. Had a 30 min stare down till I finally started crawling to him, made it 10 yards and they walked off. I guess they need to be rutting a little more for the Goat Suit to work.

    3B North Archery Antelope

Score as of Monday afternoon: Antelope 4, Me 0 Put some serious miles on the boots since all the roads are too muddy to drive down. Also, haven't shot or been shot at by any Meth Addicts yet so I'm doing pretty good. Think I ran the big buck I scouted out of the country today, almost drew back 3 times and he finally had enough and ran for miles.

Spot and stock unit 32 antelope

Congrats, can't wait to get home to see it in person. Now if it would stop raining in my unit maybe I could get it done too.

    No pics yet?

Pretty buck, congrats to Art. I hope to have a pic to add this weekend too.

    3B North Archery Antelope

Since I've been up scouting I've found a place to stay that is on Forest Service land but not on any of the roads I asked about earlier. When I drove down those roads I realized I would be camped right in the middle of where I wanted to hunt. I went to the Antelope Seminar at the G&F office a few months ago and received some good info on camp spots from a Warden for that area.

Yes definitely watch out for meth houses and meth heads. I'd be well armed while up there scouting and hunting. Well now I'm nervous. I've been scouting 3 weekends since starting this topic. Seen some places I wanted to stay away from but nothing this bad. I always have my G20 on me but I would hate to feel like I needed to use it. Thanks for the heads up though. Saw 8 bucks last weekend, headed back up tomorrow after work.
