Texas Bluebonnet Shrub..............I think.
-
Had another trade pending but haven't heard back again. $500

I didn't get a receipt emailed to me like I usually do after I applied for deer, turkey, or buffalo. Anyone else have this problem?
-
Hope this goes better than the Elk/Antelope draw.

Is there any trad shooters kill a lot in AZ?
BMart replied to Half's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Year round Javalina? I didn't know that, I'll look into that. I wish I could find those Feral Hogs, I would chase those with my stickbow all year. -

I have 2 big game kills with a stickbow. I wish I hunted with it more but it's hard to practice with it when everyone around you has compounds. -
Fletching for fixed broad heads for micro diameter arrows
BMart replied to Win264's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
2" Blazers will stabilize the arrow fine if your bow is tuned properly. Fusions will work too if you can stand to fletch them up, I hate fletching those things. -
Thinking about running over to Mesa this weekend on the 17th, still looking for a Glock 29SF.
-
Let me know if you have one for sale, I'm in Safford but can make a trip to Tucson or Phoenix on a weekend.

7E is the unit I've hunted elk in the most. There are some places where I didn't take any binoculars at all with me, just used my Leica rangefinder. There are some places where a spotting scope would come in handy though because there are some big hills to glass where the bulls go after people chase them out of the flatland/junipers. Like said above, if you are just looking for a bull just stick with what you have. If you're trying to field judge you'll want a spotter. I don't ever use a spotter until I'm trying to find out if an animal is big enough to shoot.

I drew the early rifle WT hunt in 23. Spent the last few hours searching the internet and can't find what I'm looking for. Is there anyone out there making maps for New Mexico similar to Flatline maps in Arizona? I don't know this unit at all but should be able to spend quite a bit of time over there this summer. Would sure like to get a good map first though. I'm spoiled in AZ with Flatline maps and Recreational Access Arizona on the internet.

Had a trade pending but haven't heard back in a week. Both holsters are sold. $525. I'm in Safford but could meet halfway to Phoenix or Tucson.

I got the early rifle WT hunt in 23. Only got one email so I guess I didn't get Antelope or Elk.

They changed the website to say April 30 for a couple weeks, but then changed back to April 23 last week. Not sure if that means anything, but it would have been easy for them to keep the April 30 date if they felt it was necessary. That's good news. I never saw it change to the 30th, figured they just left the website as is and sent the email that said the 30th.
-
They said it would be pushed back a week because of the new law on sheep tags for non residents so I wasn't expecting it until the 30th. Hope they come out tomorrow though. Also, heard today that a G&F officer told a friend of mine that they haven't even done the draw yet so not sure about the backdoor method.

I drew also if this really works.
-
No, Thanks. Already have one. Safariland holster sold.

I'm using Easton Axis with the Fire Nock Stainless Steel half outserts and Swhackers. 430 grains total.
-
I've done it. The first year I applied online. Thought I applied for 4B Bull...Drew 4B Cow. I was in shock I could make that mistake as carefull as I am with that type of thing. I checked about 4 times and still didn't catch it until my card was hit and it was too late. Only good part was I only had the hunters ed point that year so I got to hunt and didn't waste points.
-
I didn't get drawn this year but.... Easton Axis 340 50 grain Stainless steel insert 150 grain VPA Terminator 2" blazers 480+ grains total, moving around 260 FPS
