  1. I use the nockturnals also, but I really like the green color. The white ones are probably the easiest to see. It makes a huge difference to know the point of impact of your arrow. The worst feeling is shooting at an animal and not knowing if you hit it, or where your arrow went.

I think I read that Colorado was changing their regs so that they are now legal. Anybody verify that?

  2. I guess I'm confused. Most of the time all I hear is that less government, less restrictions, etc. the better. Now I hear some say game cameras should be illegal. I know some don't like trail cameras, which is fine. It matters little to me wether anyone likes them or not. It is a fun hobby for my kids and I, to spend time in the woods hiking to amazing places and putting a camera up to see what we find. It bothers me that hunters that do not like them would seek a law to impose their view on everyone else.

  3. I had similar issues I guess. For the spring draw I drew a javi tag, but my boy didn't. But then there were leftovers for the hunts I put him in for. I went back and did not have a bank charge, or confirmation email for my sons app, so I figured I just screwed it up somehow, or didn't actually put his app in. I applied for leftover tags, and then received a tag for my son... Which I incorrectly assumed was a leftover tag, but it wasn't. So he got a free tag I guess.

Then a couple days later I get my leftover app back saying we were rejected because there were no tags left. Which I doubted since there were listed 458 leftover archery tags for the unit I put in for. So I called and spoke to a woman that confirmed there were none left for that unit. When I mentioned the 458 number she said that there never were that many tags left for that unit. I had printed out the leftover list, showing 458 tags available, which really confused the gal. I told her I am looking at it right in front of me, but she still argued. Not only that, but after we were rejected, they still had over 60 left for that unit. Which was confirmed when a friend went into their office and bought one even after that. Crazy, it seems to me the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is up to.

It also depends who you talk to. A friend tried to buy a tag in Phx office, but was told they were all gone. Next day goes into flag office and buys one.

The departments reputation is sure suffering through all this confusion, and no one is happy about it. I'm afraid if these problems happen with elk or sheep or buffalo, they will have a lawsuit on their hands.

Hope they figure it out soon. Paper app for me this year.

  4. It is too early for a grown man to be crying.

From the pictures I assume your little guy might have some physical challenges as well.

Wow, you are truly beautiful people.

Good eyes. He has spins bifida and hydrocephalus. His medical challenges will be a long road, but here in Bulgaria they really don't do much for treatment. The saddest thing is that here in eastern Europe many kids born with deformities or special needs are given up to an orphanage at birth. Most only survive a few years. We are getting an education while we are here. We should all count our blessings that we get to live where we do. America has problems, but it is so far ahead of what I have seen here.

I appreciate all your kind words. This is not easy for my wife and I right now. Can't wait to touch American soil again.

  5. I am a pretty private guy. I like to keep to myself most of the time. But I feel like this is worth sharing. Our family has been in the process of adopting a little boy from an orphanage in Bulgaria for the last year and 6 months. Through Gods provision we were able to raise the funds, and are finally in country for our pick up trip. Israel will be our 4th adoption, maybe our last. I think I'm getting too old for this much of a challenge.

Our family are pretty big advocates for orphans and adoption. Not much more of a quality thing one can do to change the world. Just in Arizona there are over 16,000 kids in foster care. Maybe you will consider being willing. It is a blessing for all involved.

    Here are some pics.
