  1. I drew an 18b archery goat tag, and am looking for a Montana decoy. I hate to buy one for $75 to use for a week then put it in the closet for another 15 years. I would love to borrow one, or buy a used one. If you have one buried in your closet that you could part with for the month of August, please let me know.

    Thanks, Darren

  2. I was hoping this thread would be about equipment, technique, etc. that long range archers use. I did expect to transition into other areas. Not many long range archers participated making this thread the old same, same.

Didn't you set this thread up to turn out this way? In your opening post you certainly felt the need to share your negative opinion of long range archery shots. You are getting exactly what you wanted.

It is threads like this that cause me to refrain from posting my archery success. I have been fortunate enough to kill animals at some relatively long distances, but I will never post that info on this website.

  3. Cody, my wife and I have adopted 3 from foster care, and are in the process of adopting 2 more from Bulgaria. We spent more than 7 years as a foster family and have some experiences that might be useful to you all. We are also fairly well connected with agencies, etc. It is hard to adopt, and harder to stop adopting. It is the best decision you could make.

Couple things to watch if you have time.

  4. Well my newest friend connie from gandf just called me!!!!!!!

    I'm not even kidding!

Elk tag drawn, credit card declined, new number given. I'm going elk hunting woot woot!72988082690306491274.gif

You are one lucky dude... And dishonest! If you were an honest fella you woulda told her it must have been a mistake since you drew a sweet bull tag LAST YEAR!

  5. I don't think that there is a lot of risk in a follow up archery shot. As long as it is a quality shot, and not rushed too much. But it's not likely to cause an animal to run into the next county. I do agree every situation is different, but if it is still standing, nock on.

  6. I saw one about a week ago at the concrete bridge that crosses beaver creek just south of the school. I couldnt believe it either!

Yep, that's where he was when I saw him. Right in the driveway. I'm going to sexy my trail cameras and see if I can get some pics or video of him. Had someone tell me they saw one right nearby about a year ago. I saw him on Friday.

  7. All you short people... To be only 6'4"..... I found on camofire, camo pants xxl for 8.99. Had to buy 2 pair, and combine them. Had someone with the right talents take the bottoms of the legs from 1 pair and sew them onto the other pair. Now I have a pair of pants that fit, and some camo shorts. So if yo can find something close, a person with sewing skills might be the ticket. I have also bought camo fabric and had custom pants made to fit.

But, the best option I have found is asat 3d camo leafy suit. Fits tall, and can be worn over regular clothes.

    Or try big camo.com

    Good luck.
