Coues Pursuit, my first lab kept me in fire wood by bring me pieces of my neighbors wood pile at the rate of about a log a day all year long. Funny as heck, the neighbor on the other side of the wood pile owners had his girl friend and they were back and forth several times a day. Once I threw them on my wood pile, he didn't touch them. I don't know if the owners of the wood ever realized they didn't burn that much wood through out the year. Mattys281, Im with you on getting a pup while you have an older dog. The pup actually seems to keep the older one young for a longer time, as well as teaching them , both good and bad habits usually though. Hope you find a winner, my daughter seems to be loving hers.

I have two classic shotguns that my father left me, an LC Smith 20 gauge sxs, and a Parker 12 gauge of the same. Does anyone know where I can get them appraised. Not looking to sell them, I would just like to make sure I have adequate insurance on them. Looking for someone who knows classic upland hunting shotguns, not just book value like Basspro on line.

Reliable to 1000 yards .300 Win Mag Remington 700 with Huskemaw and extras
NOTAGS replied to Bjorn16's topic in Classified Ads
Bjorn16, I offered to sell my 700 BDL with a Carlson stock, trigger job and a Vari XII 4x12 for $700 to someone looking for a good rifle for a reasonable price for their kid, and got snarky comments. Seriously? The way I look at it, if you don't like the price being asked of an item , MOVE ON! Don't make negative comments, move on! Just like any ad in the Sunday paper, buy it or don't. Online sites bring out the worst in people. -
I can tell you if you are even considering this, go shoot one, and you will be sold! These are ridiculously smooth, and consistent. azbowhunter357, ..You know you want this!

I've owned labs for 25 years now, I must be a glutton for punishment. The first two years they are the most destructive beasts to walk the earth, from drip systems to shoes to furniture and books. Even the wiring underneath my camp trailer. Nothing is safe. The purchase price is the cheap part of owning them. My youngster turns two next month, and I am HOPING he calms down. I have to feed him special food due to a "sensitive" digestive system, and give him daily meds for canine seizures .In spite of that, I cant see myself wanting any other kind of dog at this point. Go figure.

Thanks all for the input. She found a pup last night, brought it by. I'll have to contact her today and see if she got any sleep. Ha!

Thanks everyone , I will follow up. I know she's budget minded, I was a bit shocked myself since the last papered dog with good hunting heritage cost me $500 out or Parker a year and half ago. Seeing up to and over a grand plus. She doesn't need a hunter, just a good pet that won't develop bad hips, epilepsy, etc. like some of the over bred ones that people are using for cash machines since the lab is so popular. .

Let me guess, not fully frozen? Mexican ticks can't be in America? Deer and other animals don't move naturally across the border? USDA are a bunch orA Holes! They are so uptight and full of them selves! Maybe our President will clean this shoot up.

"Cheap asz Employers." "The bonehead that said I sounded like Bernie" Nature Bob, is your last name Clinton? You too have called me names and categorized me. You sure you're not a Democrat? I guess now I am a " deplorable, angry white male, cheap asz Employers bonehead"? I really don't want to comment on your post or past, other than the name calling but, I know many who have had similar stories when the good times ended. If your business had survived the recession, I would bet that you would talking differently. I know many people that were and still are involved in new construction of housing. Its called financial strategy and planning

Bob, are you still sore that Bernie didnt win? Not all business owners are millionaires, but arguably ALL took a huge risk at some point. And as 5 guys posted above, 8 years ago many of us had to dig in all over again to just hang on and survive. This sense of entitlement will be the demise of our country. I for one am proud to be a "deplorable angry white male" having been categorized by both Clintons. Eight years of attempts to turn our nation into one of a socialist economy has worn thin.

I have the same issue, many of my employees are retirees, who will have to pay taxes on their retirement if they earn too much. So, they can only work less, yet many don't want to sit at home and do nothing. I have several people who are on Access for medical due to expensive prescriptions who will lose it if they make too much. "Obamacare"was too expensive for them. Oh, but wait, its also called the " Affordable care Act". How does that work? As a small business owner, I have a hard time understanding why people who have never invested anything such as like their life's savings or sweat equity or borrowed against everything they owned, can decide what I should have to pay someone to come to work for me. If a person does not like the wages I offer, they can keep looking. This whole thing was pushed by unions from out of state, and the petitioners and many of the signatures that put it on the ballot were not valid or legitimate. Yet, some liberal judge ruled that the challenge had to be filed in five days total , not five business days, because the Arizona Resturaunt Association included a weekend in their time frame to challenge and refused the challenge. Per the words of the State Constitution. However, when the State Constitution also states that there can only be one issue on a ballot, or that it cannot cost the state financially unless it provides for a source of revenue for the increase in the States spending, same liberal judges refused to delay or hear it. There is a very slight possibility the constitutionality will be reviewed in February, but can you imagine the shitstorm if the minimum wage is overturned AFTER people have been paid $10.00 an hour for minimum wage? I don't think any of our liberal judges will have the stones to do it. Arizona has become Little California. Next thing you know, Jerry Brown will be governing us from afar.

I own some hardware stores, and I am actively increasing prices. To answer someone's earlier question about whether it trickles up, those who were above minimum wage expect to make the same amount higher than minimum as they were. However, I am telling them they need to sit tight. I had 85,000 payroll hours last year, and I dont think I can even come close to offsetting the additional payroll required this year. And this is just the first year's increase, within 3 more it will be another $2.00 higher per hour. We will be THE HIGHEST minimum wage state in the nation by next year, surpassing California and Washington. The end result will be less purchasing power for the very people who voted it in, and significantly less purchasing power for the middle class. The only winner is the government who will be collecting more income and employment taxes. Ignorant people should not be allowed to vote.

Congrats on a cool bull! That will make a great mount! Just an after thought, skin the quarters before hanging, even when its cold like that. , Its easier when they are warm, and the meat will cool much quicker.

36A whitetail hunt (nov 25 - dec 4) - camping help
NOTAGS replied to BIGBUGPETE's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I wouldn't worry about 36 A, You will see more border patrol, sight seers and hunters than any chance for illegos. I camped off the Batamonte road, as did a whole lot of other people, and in 4 years down there , we have never had any issues. -
On the south side it it is intact and well marked with signs, but on the north side, buffalo have pretty well leveled it. Look for the posts and wire on the ground. Get the Xmap software for your GPS, shows the border on the display. its nice to have up there.

It will be the best eating game meat you have ever had…You will want to coordinate with Russ Jacoby and the other hunters, although I think some larger herds will be moving out of the park around that time. Cow tag?

Seriously? Mount that freak show! I'm guessing no 'nads? I killed a velvet buck years ago, no nuts, and in velvet in November. He's on my wall, yours is WAAAY cooler looking!

Lance, great to meet you in person, thanks for the vest! I wish you a great hunt with your daughter on the 'Bab, unbelievable luck she has had in the draw. That was very generous of you, I hope to repay the favor someday.
