Dueling tree! Nice.

To be honest, you need to actually go and look through the scopes. I had a hard time finding a scope, even on 3x, that would focus closer than 30 yards. And we all know how close you need a .22 scope to focus sometimes. Think cans, squirrels and cottontails. I ended up spending $300 on a Zeiss Terra 3 3-9x42 for it's lightweight and close focus ability. About 25 yards on 3x. Almost every other 2-8 or 3-9 with no parallax adjustment could come close. And clarity was leaps and bounds better than anything else in the $100-250 price range. Not cheap, but I just put 2 SWFA 3-15x42 SFP w. Gen 2 Mil-Quad reticles on my two 10/22s. I know, I know, overkill/obsessive/optical snobbish. But I really love the 6m minimum focus/parallax on a rimfire scope. I can sharply focus 8' away on 3x, and on 15x, I can focus as close as 20-22 yards. I got them from SWFA (of course) on sale over the Memorial weekend. They come in MOA or two different MIL configurations/reticles. They also have a FFP version, but not in the same price range. I didn't think I needed FFP in a .22 scope though, so I went SFP MIL/MIL. MIL version that I purchased https://swfa.com/catalog/product/view/id/114921/ MOA version https://swfa.com/catalog/product/view/id/121204/ Most people will think I am insane, I agree. My only vice is guns/optics/hunting/fishing/trucks/etc.

I realize it was that one branch full of incompetent idiots who cannot comprehend written directions. I am honestly betting they are lefty anti-gun treehugging morons and do not hold UPS responsible. I have actually had very good luck with UPS, and the two delivery drivers that service my house are top notch. Always offer them a drink when I am home and they show up. Changing the title now...

Mine don't feel sticky at all. I have several of my own that I have painted. -
This is Coues/pronghorn/muley magic right here.

When I mask a checkered area, I run my fingernail in all of the lines to get a good seal. The top 4 rows are my ammo and reloading stuff, bottom 2 rows are knives, maps, rests, chrome, etc. Plus some of my son-in-law's ammo. -
I was working in unit 1 and 3B last week. I bet we saw 500 elk a day mornings and evenings. Saw some bulls that were already 3'+ wide with 3' main beams, and a couple wider that already were sporting 4ths.

When In was looking last year, I wanted a scope that would focus as close as possible on at least 6x. This scope focused the best within 20 yards over about 10 others. Leopold, Vortex, Burris, all in the $200-500 & 2-8/3-9 price/magnification range. The Zeiss was also much clearer to my eyes than any of the other budget 3-9 scopes I looked through.

All of those targets are Taylor's groups, and most are at 200 yards. -

Here is a 10/22 stock I have started on. Still have to do the flat black patches after the flat OD dries. This is one of mine for a test stock for a Savage stock. Spots will be smaller, more like the black spots, and more evenly distributed. -

I got 20 targets printed out today at work. I am heading out of town to do some work on a cabin but should be back tomorrow afternoon. I will try to get envelopes made up and some targets mailed out early next week. -
If you didn't live in west New Mexico, I would let you borrow one for mock up.

Don't get me started on USPS. They are fine for small items like rings and bases. I have heard a lot of nightmares with big ticket items, and my individual delivery man is a joke. I am currently waiting on 2 packages out of 3 they have botched delivery of. Went down to the post office this afternoon, and they had 1 of the 3. Still missing 2....and they "tried" to deliver on Wednesday, and can't seem to find my packages now. Same with my last 3 deliveries. Pay for 2 or 3 day delivery, and it turns into 5-7 business days, almost every time. At least for me receiving. Even delivery of the last few items I shipped took an extra day or 2.
