Factory mag box. Plenty long to seat the bullets out until they touch the lands and still fit on the mag box. -
Photos texted to Alex.

Still here. Less than 65% of new cost, no tax, no shipping if we meet FTF. And a custom paint job! From back when B&C had some QA/QC personnel working for them.

2nd Official CWT 200 Yard Fun Shoot

I got your target back today, and see the two "X"ed out shots. No sweat, they won't count against your score. Great shooting by the way. -

7mm Rem Mag Memorial Build
lancetkenyon replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
This actually brought a tear to my eye. Thanks, I am sure you are correct. I hope to use it this year on my early rifle bull hunt and take a good bull. My daughter Taylor took the first elk ever with the rifle last year, a fat juicy cow. I am sure he was grinning ear to ear up there watching her take that cow. -
7mm Rem Mag Memorial Build

Definitely not broken. Just tinkering.....again. -
This. I just got a spotter last fall before a late season elk hunt, but have already used it a ton. 10s on a chest harness, 15s for glassing out to 2 miles, spotter for close inspections.

I am going to be starting some more load work. Going to try the Hornady 175 ELD-X. Even though I know the Berger 180 Hybrid works very well. Here was my 5 shot group at 802. 180 Berger Hybrid @ 2996fps -
Youth 7mm-08 vs .243
lancetkenyon replied to Rock30golf's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
What about a .260? Right in between, better ballistics than either the .243 or 7-08. Most .243s are twisted for 90-100gr. max. Manageable recoil without a brake, better for deer than the .243, and enough for elk with good 140gr bullets. Maybe equal to the 7-08 150gr. Bullets. Flatter trajectory and better speed too. I can vouch that a .260 is plenty to take big mulies out to 650 yards with authority. -
28 Nosler 30 Nosler 33 Nosler
lancetkenyon replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Nothing new but the name. Nice not being a belted mag, even though I have never had issues with a belted mag. Very similar ballistics to other rounds. Just a new fad to get the Nosler name out. 28 Nosler, 7 RUM, 7 Dakota, 7.21 Fire bird, 7 Allen Mag, 7 STW, etc. 30 Nosler, .300RUM, .300 NM, .300 Dakota, 7.82 Warbied etc. 33 Nosler, .338 RUM,. 338 Edge, .338 Weatherby, .338-378 Weatherby, 8.59 Titan, etc. -
I got another Vortex Viper 6.5-20 from DouglasGunGuy last year. Good price for a good scope. Seller is good to go too.

Vortex (made by Seekins Precision) Matched Scope Rings 34mm

I assume from the box they are the "high" (1.00)? If they were the "mediums" (.92"), I would be all over them. -
223 factory loads??(pics pg. 3)
lancetkenyon replied to BeardownAZ's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I load 50 V-max @ 3300 in my AR for yokes and Jacks. But I have used my 69 SMK @ 3033fps target loads on them as well, with good reaults. -

Camera Land brings you Big News from Leupold
lancetkenyon replied to gr8fuldoug's topic in Optics and tripods
Depends on application. Most take a ring that screws into the scope bell/sunshade and then the cap and ring snap onto the adapter ring. -

If all you are looking for is good scope caps, try Aadmount or Tenebraex. All I use on my scopes. Then get a good scope to put them on. -

CWT group effort Wildcat Rifle build
lancetkenyon replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
What about RL22 or RL23? I know RL22 works great in my .25-06AI pushing 115s to 3400+, with other loads close to 3500, but not as accurate. RL23 is similar, and much more temp stable.
