Thanks bud. This would look really good on your .25-06.

I have one of their R700 SA bolts in my 6.5 SLR. Great product. That is my only experience with them.

.300WM Christensen Arms Load Development

I tried 10 in my .300RUM @ .100" jump with the same charge weight that works great with 190 HVLD, 175 SMK, 200 LRX, 210 SMK, 210 HVLD, 215 Hybrid with great results, and the 212 ELD-X was no beuno. -

Received 4 more targets in the mail. I think it was yesterday's mail though. After today, I will post scores and draw a winner from those targets returned. I will say, the target was very challenging, and I did not see a single shot that would have missed just about any large or small game out there, including prairie dogs. So scores do not necessarily reflect anything other than very near misses on tiny circles. Aim small, miss small. Great shooting to all who sent them back in. Round 2 is in the works.....or should I say round 200? -
I will state again, Duxngeez is good to go. I had my second transaction with him. Great guy, and his kids are killers too! I wish he would post a photo of his kid with her pig and rifle....hint hint.

Well this has a new barrel on it, so I hope I won't have those issues....great info though. I had heard nightmares about the earlier ones as well. -
Have a great one.

The Gempro 250 is great. A single kernel weighs about .02 grains. And it reads it. -

How was the headspacing between factory unfired and once fired brass before resizing? These are .0200"+ difference. That is a lot from other rifles I have worked on. -

Then primed them all with CCI 250 Mag primers I wanted to try some of the 212 ELD-X in the rifle too, so I loaded the Winchester brass up with those and worked up a ladder test set of rounds. Here is the seating depth with the 212 ELD-X touching the lands CBTO COAL My load data Starting charge weight Marking the primers to know what charge weight is what in case I dump them over (I did this once. It sucked) Top charge weight. It started to compress at this point, so I stopped for now My 212 ELD-X ladder test ready to shoot Powder for both will be the H1000 Load records My starting charge weight due to the significantly heavier brass content which equates to less case space and more pressure Ending charge weight due to a compressed load with the 190 HVLD at seating depth. Seating depth will be tested after a ladder test and charge weight testing. So I don't want too compressed of a load for when I start seating bullets deeper in the case. Ladder test ready to shoot I was hoping to go shoot the ladder tests, but the rain this weekend put a damper on that. Here is all the data accumulated so far on the loads. -
My brother was there today. Super slow. Snagged one single 6" striper in 8 hours. I bet weather had more to do with it than anything. Pray for warmer temps.

You had the option of one "confidence" shot. At any target other than the CBS or 3 shot group. Hit, and add score. Miss, and lose both shots points at that target, even with an original hit. And I already started work on the 200 yard target...... -

If you get them out by Tuesday, should be fine. I have all of the ones I have already received scored. So get them shot and in the mail. As for the couple oif guys asking for them to get emailed, sorry. I have been crazy at work with site walks and travelling, and I left my computer at my office over the weekend. Not going to make it in time to email them to you and get them shot and back to me. Never fear. I have the next two shoots already planned. A 200 yard shoot (with darker/larger easier to see targets), and a 50 yard .22LR shoot. -
Can't go wrong with an APA Micro Bastard brake. My sub-10# 7RM pushes a 180 Berger @ 3000fps, not a normally light recoiling rifle or round. Yet my 14 year old daughter can easily shoot it comfortably with the brake on it. I also have two of the Badger Thruster brakes on other rifles, although with heavier contours. My 15+# 6.5 SLR (similar to a .260 Rem) recoils about the same as my .223. You can watch your own impacts at 100 yards. The other is on a 14# .300RUM. My 14 year old daughter can shoot a stiffly loaded 215 Hybrid at 3100fps with ease.

PM sent.

Phoenix Custom Rifles. They can turn and blend a lot of brakes into the barrel. If you ever shoot prone, I would suggest a brake with no bottom ports. Here is an APA Micro Bastard turned down to a Bartlein #3 contour.

The Dinky Deer Thread - Let's see the SMALLEST one you've got???
lancetkenyon replied to mattys281's topic in The Campfire
My smallest. 3x3 on the last day. I had passed him probably 6 days in a row, but on the last morning, we saw him with a broken front shoulder. I walked up within 20 yards and put him down. This is my Dad's smallest, and ONLY deer he ever shot. On a hunt about 15 years ago with me. -

I received four more in the mail yesterday. Deadline is to my mailbox by this Wednesday if you want a shot at the gift certificate. You don't have to win, just shoot it and mail it back. -
I thought one went for $485k last year or the year before here in AZ?

Should fit fine. R700 LA BDL uses same action length for .25-06 and the Ultra Mags. I know it fit my .300RUM with the magnum sporter contour barrel fine back in the day.
