WTB 7mm ultra brass/ 180 Berger vld bullets/ retumbo
lancetkenyon replied to couesdan's topic in Classified Ads
Bruno's had 7mm 180 HVLDs in stock yesterday. -
When I draw a 23N tag, this is who I am calling. Of course, we might both be too old to hunt by then!
-
I am extremely happy with my BTX/95mm body.

They buy from other distributors and dealers. Meaning their cost is higher. Of course they are going to make a profit. But at least there is stuff locally. Everywhere else is higher too. Plus, pay shipping and Hazmat, and be limited to 2# per order.....do the math. It adds up in our favor to continue to buy locally. How much did you "stock up"? I shoot too much to maintain more than MAYBE 2 years worth of components for some of my rifles.

I don't think Bruno's carries Hornady ammo.

Brunos buys from other suppliers, so they can keep stuff rolling in and out to the locals. That is why the 1#ers are $60. Was just there. H4350, H1000, H4831, LOTS of others. Plus, a bunch of 8# RL23 & N565 and lots of others.

If I lose my 27BPs for pronghorn, someone at GFD is losing their scalp.

Take Dave up on this offer.

There is a trailride outfit at the Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, but I don't think they let you go off solo. I happen to be working on Stewart Dam right now, and pass the place twice a day. They do have two female wranglers that are quite easy on the eyes working there, so you might just want to tag along and follow their lead...

Pretty fast burn rate. Faster than H1000 by a bit. Would be better suited for the lighter bullets. 160s might scream with it. In 35+ 28N rifles, I have only used: H1000 (w. 175s), Retumbo, IMR8133, N570, RL33 (w. 180-195s).

OK, I have had the Meopta Meostar 15x56s for years. I am super happy with them. Thousands of hours behind them over the years. Well, last year, I finally broke down and bought a set of Swaro SLC 15x56 Neu HD. On a late season elk hunt, my son-in-law was using my Meopta, and I was using the new Swaros. Bright light, not a big difference at all. Outer edge is about the only difference. The Meoptas fisheye just a hair, but not a big deal. Well, after sunset, glassing into the sun on opening evening, I glassed up 3 bulls about 2 miles away, sun set behind the hill we were glassing. Meoptas showed a big black hill. The Swaros could pick out elk easily in the last 15 minutes of legal light. So, the Swaros will probably get you 20-30 more minutes of hunting light (10-15 AM, 10-15 PM). Only you can decide if those 20 minutes are worth $800-1000 more. On a side note, I found the same dark issue with my Meopta Meostar S2 20-70×82 spotter too. That upgrade cost me an arm and a leg....BTX...

I have an unopened 1# of H1000, and will toss in 200 CCI BR4....

Trade for 500ct 6.5mm 156 and 147ct 6.5mm 143 ELD-X? I can sweeten the deal with 1# of Retumbo and 89 Fed GM215M...
-
Bonus points don't reflect the update yet.
-
Good price. That twist will easily stabilize the 115s, and make this a sweet 700+ yard pronghorn/coues rifle.
-
Man, that is a good price. Surprised it is still here. So tempting...
-
26 & nada.
-
Awesome steel plinking rounds on the cheap.
-
I have packed out a couple that were 2+ miles. Sucks. Bad. Quite a few that were between 1-2 miles. Sucks. Bad. I have packed out a few that were within a mile. Sucks. But not as bad. I have driven right to a couple. This is the way to do it!

Kenyon's.... And maybe not ALL....but a lot! 😁 Welcome Caitlyn. -
A fellow hunter and I are hauling some water to a remote tank, with AZGFD bringing out a 1000 gallon water wagon to refill us for multiple trips. Mountain top remote site, hope my truck makes it! Approximately 1750 gallons of life giving water for the deer and other animals in the unit. The tank is dry right now, so hopefully we can ease some of the burden off the animals for a little while at least. Thanks to AZGFD for coming out on a Sunday to bring a water wagon to help out.
