Any load data 6.5 PRC load with 156 berger eol
lancetkenyon replied to 257 STW's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
1:8" is minimum twist. Might stabilize, might not. Start around 51.0 and go up to 55.0gr H1000, depending on brass brand. Hornady is for this charge weight range. ADG would be about 1 gr less to start. I have gotten great results w. RL23 also in the 6.5PRC with 140 HVLD, 140 Hyb, 144 LR Hyb, and 150SMK. Haven't tried the 156 yet. -

If you need to borrow the seating die, let me know. I have a set of Hornady you can borrow.

Sub $3k new: Kahles Steiner M series Nightforce ATACR line Minox ZP line US Optics March (lightweight and huge mag range, but can be finicky when not set perfectly) For a SFP, Swarovski is tops. Leica are pretty nice too.

Great job Tessa. Way to stick it out. Great buck.

Arizona Bonus points- worth it or not for the december hunts?
lancetkenyon replied to critrgitr's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
The only Coues hunt I have ever done was a 24B December hunt. Had no idea what I was doing. Shot the biggest buck I saw in 5 days. I was quite underwhelmed back then.... -
Electronic Powder Dispenser? What to Buy?
lancetkenyon replied to SO I HUNT's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
As long as you verify every charge and trickle up as needed, any will work. RCBS Chargemaster or Matchmaster Hornady Frankford Arsenal I always throw to .3gr under, and transfer and trickle up to the individual kernel. -
Used Schmidt & Bender. Out of my 4 S&Bs, I bought 1 new, and 3 used. Sold one for the same price I paid 3 years earlier. Under $3k is very realistic.

1. Tangent Theta 2. Hensoldt 3. Premier (but now discontinued, bought by Tangent Theta) 4. ZCO 5. Schmidt & Bender

Nosler Long Range Rifle in 26 Nosler, $1500
lancetkenyon replied to weekend's topic in Classified Ads
I thought the "Long Range" was a carbon barrel. Otherwise, the Custom is a steel barrel. At $1500, if it is, in fact, the Long Range Carbon, that is a screaming deal. -
Get a semi-auto. I would suggest a nice O/U, but you do NOT want to be shooting 3" turkey and duck loads out of a light, fast O/U.
-
This rifle is accurate! I will vouch to that fact. Great build.
-
That rifle looks familiar...
-
That 28N is a great deal. $2600+ in parts alone.

Might as well drop Taylor's bucks on here too. 2016 2019

Looking to buy Barnes Precision Match 6.5
lancetkenyon replied to Lemieux37's topic in Classified Ads
Which one? All 5 have taken a dirt nap thanks to various "match" bullets. Plus, all of Taylor's deer, 80% of our elk, javelina, coyotes, etc. -

But....but....you can't shoot deer with a match bullet......🤣
