27 I think I heard?
-
True. Just meant I wish I could afford the Gov tag and guide fees!
-
$15k for 500"+ bull. I promise you, the Governor's Tag holders pay WAY more than this. I imagine some of those tag holders have as easy of a time as these hunts. I have heard stories from some guides. Fly the guy in, drive him to the shooting position, he takes the shot, they drive him back to the airport, and he gets his deer delivered to him. Not all of them! Probably not even many of them. But it does happen. And having 15-20 guys watching an animal 24/7 for weeks prior, might as well be a high fence hunt. I wish I could afford to do it though.

That is going to be one expensive elk when the rancher releases him for a shooter. Behemoth elk. I don't care if he is farm raised and hand fed. He is impressive. That breeder is good at his job.

Mr. Silencer.

Putting hands on that buck was amazing. Great pair of bucks. As you know, I will be having a story of my own soon. One more day to get Taylor a buck.

Bone it out. Pack all the meat in 1 trip. It sucks, but can be done.

I must be the only one here who loves a Havalon replaceable blade knife. I have 3 of them. Two Baracuta (the filet knife size) and a Pirahnta. Super light, quick to change blades even with gore covered hands, scalpel sharp, cheap. I have had them for years. Takes one blade for a deer/pronghorn, two for an elk. I highly doubt they will go out of business and replacement blades will be unavailable. They sell too many of them. I have several other knives that I carry, but these are my go-to knife in the field. If I lose one, oh well. I would cry if I lost my ZT S35VN, Benchmade S30V, Or several others.

Welcome to the addiction. -
12A is the "prime turkey hunt in AZ" huh? Never knew that.

I honestly think I would!

I bore scoped my new CA Ridgeline barrel...not what I expected!
lancetkenyon replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Go shoot it. If it shoots, that is all that matters, but now you will always have that in your mind. One of the best arguments why NOT to buy a bore scope. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. -
I had Adam (Big Browns) sneaking around my tent at night...

Taylor is red/green colorblind too. I only found out like 2 years ago. (She is 18 now). No WONDER she could never follow a blood trail! But, she had Dad for that, actually, she usually just drops them on the spot. Which really helps in a quick and easy recovery. Maybe you should try that Grey Curse? 😁

I was with Casey in the horrible boating accident of 16', but mine wore a 3-15×50 Premier Heritage Light Tactical when Davy Jones claimed it...

CA stocks are very light. If you have a B&C Medalist, or HS Precision, this is probably 10-16oz lighter. And if you have a factory Tupperware plastic stock, this is a huge upgrade.

Best post in this thread. Amazing bull. Awesome he did it with a bow. No matter how many guys helped out.

That is absolutely amazing.

Freight Train Derailment in Tempe and Bridge Collapse
lancetkenyon replied to PRDATR's topic in The Campfire
I have talked to two firefighters who were on scene. One from Scottsdale Fire and a captain from Tempe Fire. UP had an emergency response crew there within hours. DHS, FBI, multiple LEO organizations, multiple fire organizations, a couple haz-mat crews, etc. No signs of tampering or sabotage were even hinted at yet. I am sure there will be a very thorough investigation going on for a while. -
When that color phase spotted you and took off, the black went on alert. He just chose the wrong way to eventually take off. Awesome video. Surprised they didn't see you earlier.

Should be fine. I found some .223 brass out in the desert that was literally black. Threw it in the tumbler overnight, and it never did shine up, but it got smooth and clean. I now have 4-5 firings on it with no issues. Looks badass too.

Metal stock tanks and deer
lancetkenyon replied to bradleylarson48's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
All kind of game use them. Water is water. When they need it, they will drink. -
Just sit still, and don't stink. Movement and scent are the two main giveaways.
