Yes, clean the primer pockets after each FL sizing. If you deburr the flash hole, you only need to do it once at the beginning. I anneal after each firing too.

I know you are just stirring the pot to get a rise out of folks for your enjoyment. But dang.

Here are a few photos of some of Blake's poached animals. From an article. Fucking sickening. You have to hand it to Blake though. The guy has a set of huge brass balls. Who else would poach all these trophy animals, and then have the stones to post photos and stories on a bunch of websites and social media of them. Can't wait until the next time he gets caught.

Happy National Jerky Day (This Time 35% off)
lancetkenyon replied to rossislider's topic in Cooking Wild Foods
I get my jerky from Dee Dee's Finest Beef Jerky in NM. Not like any other jerky I have had. Paper thin, crunchy at first, then melts in your mouth. Awesome flavors too. I always order 6 packs at a time. Buy 4, get 1 free. I have tried most of the spicier flavors. Green chili, red chili, chipotle, and jalapeño are my favorites. Caribe chile is good too. The habenero is insanely hot. Great taste, but have to eat it sparingly. They have a lot of the staple flavors too. -
A3 Golden Boy Jed Larson Convicted of Poaching

They said he still owes $16k+. -
I actually agree with this 100%. It fIt THAT crime. What about the other 5 counts? 5 years each sounds about right, maybe 10 for the powerline buck. As long as they are served consecutively, not concurrently. Should have added an obstruction count too for the OTHER 4x5 200+" buck he admittedly poached as well, you know, the one that "the coyotes ate".

The old "dog ate my homework" excuse. Sickening. -
AZGFD Commission Meeting June 12th

Apparently, there was YET ANOTHER 4x5 200+" velvet mule deer he poached as well, and admitted to it. Was told to turn over the antlers, but "a coyote ate them" and he never turned them over to G&F. Glad I watched this live, and learned a lot more. -
Besides producing very nice and accurate rifles, Todd is also a great person.

This past weekend, my wife had to buy beef (other than some good ribeyes a few times a year). The freezer is almost empty. Just a few packages of deer left. Some sausage, 1 roast, and we ate the last of the backstraps from Taylor's 2019 buck last night. The 2019 pronghorn are long gone. With no elk tags since 2017, and only one deer tag in 2019 (2016 was the last deer before that) and two pronghorn in 2019 (which don't produce a lot of meat anyway), we had to buy beef for the first time in about 8 years. We had a good run of luck with tags since 2012. No elk tags this year to fill the freezer, and only two pronghorn tags on the docket right now, I am really hoping for a deer tag. To be honest, I have forgotten what a beef roast tastes like.

Craig's Custom Rifles is the big name in the Tucson area.

A little.

Goes to show you it is all luck of the draw. I had 25 BPs and didn't draw a 10 tag as my 1st choice. Congrats, hope you slay a toad.

FPS differences would be nothing that .1gr+/- of powder can't make up for. Same for ES/SD. Burn rate is determined more by the powder choice than a difference in LRP vs. SRP. But different primers vary in flame. Accuracy totally depends on your rifle's preference. There have been claims both ways on which is more accurate. I think it boils down to just the final load. The main benefit to SRP vs. LRP are there: brass choices, and longevity. If you are running at or near max loads, SRP brass should give you a few more firings because primer pockets will not stretch as much due to more brass around the pocket. Also, some of the best brass only comes in SRP. Lapua is SRP only. Alpha and Petersons make both SRP & LRP. But then ADG only males LRP. Starline makes both. Rem, Win, Hornady are LRP only. To me, if you are hand loading and competent at it, starting with the best components available can help to improve accuracy right off the bat. Spending a bit extra up front to get high quality components can show up and get you that extra bit of consistency, which helps accuracy.

How many BPs?

Both the Fed GM210M or CCI BR-2 are LRP. Both fantastic choices. If you go with a SRP case, Fed GM205M or CCI BR-4. Either works just as well as the others. I use Fed GM205M in my 6CM. I use Fed GM210M in my 6.5SLR. But use CCI BR-2 & BR-4 in numerous others.

What you all been waiting for... Popcorn....
lancetkenyon replied to bowhunter4life's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I believe so. But, even in terrible 2017, I kept my tag and made the best out of it. No way was I turning in my tag I had waited 18 years for. -
I use H4350 in a lot of 6.5CMs, and in my 6CM too. But, in short barreled ones, I have used Superformance. Better speeds than H4350, but not quite as temp stable. Not terrible like some RL powders though. Hornady brass is LRP. And would honestly be one of my last choices for brass, unless you already have a couple hundred. Weight sort them and cull anything outside of a 2 grain (+/- 1) from your median weight. Then check neck thickness. If you don't have a few hundred, bite the bullet (so to speak) and buy Lapua SRP, Alpha SRP, or ADG. I think Peterson might even be making some.

No bison tag for me yet.
