Pronghorn definitely shed the sheath. Rare to find them since they deteriorate quicker than bone. But I have one I found in 7W years ago.

Buck Officially Scored 200 0/8" gross 197 4/8" net
lancetkenyon replied to bonecollector777's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
come on 20 days your no fun. 20 mins was ok cause I was just hitting the sack. so now I had another thought that came up. if both deer were taken then it would probably look awsum in a dual mount up on a custom pedestal mount with 2 hanging evidence tags on it, turn the fan on so it shows the tags moving around a little bit and it would look more of a live mount that he liked but couldnt afford to get. well if you use your imagination they would simulate a live mount off topic would that be a hoot to go into G&F's evidence room and set them mounts up like a display in Cabelas, having Name tags on plaques in front of the animal with the stats of the PERP who killed it what charges they scored. maybe a small story behind it. maybe some before and after trailcam pics of the PERP going in and carrying it out. People would pay good money for that. I would go see that exhibit. I know at the G&F Outdoor Expo a few years ago, and maybe at the AZ State Fair too, they had a poaching exhibit with names and photos. -
Arizona has a divorce rate of almost 50%. A 50/50 chance that some here will meet that fate. Say goodbye to the camper trailer. Standing in front of a Judge, and being ordered to sell, or give 50% of your assets away, including gun collections, in which she never invested a dime in. Yeah....I got hung by a brand new rope, and I will bitch about it for a long time. Personally, I will never put myself in a position of losing anything to a woman again. Nothing against you, but this is one of the saddest posts I have seen. Sorry you got a bad one. I have been with my wife for 31 years, and can't even imagine life without her.

I have not reread all.of this since my last.post.....but.... For the guys saying "dump the wife"....you guys would bitch about getting hanged with a new rope! Wife wants to buy him a new truck and trailer for comfortable hunting? And you want to ditch her? WTF is there to complain about???? She is a keeper in my book. Come back from hunting to a hot shower, hot meal, comfortable bed, and maybe a little lovin'? Win/win situation.

Or 2000.... I have a Leica 1600B that I have had for a few years. I can range deer and elk out to 1800 or so with it. Small, light, fast. Fits in a t-shirt pocket. You can pick them up for way cheaper than the original $700 price tag now. I just got a BR7 G2, and have yet to take it and stretch it out, but was getting readings on some rocks past 2000 with it.

All of my personal rifles use Seekins rings. Hard to beat Harris bipods for price and quality. -

Buck Officially Scored 200 0/8" gross 197 4/8" net
lancetkenyon replied to bonecollector777's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I have received about 10 messages from guys claiming they were chasing it. Problem was only two people were within the right area for it to be this buck. I had stories spread from over by Clints well, all across the rim, all the way to showlow. So apparently theres 8 other 200 inch typicals out there somewhere ... -

Help me decide on a new lightweight stock for my 700

Dropped right in, but I did go ahead and bed it anyway. -
Fluting the barrel will shave 4-8 oz off depending on style, depth, # if flutes, etc. There are other ways to shave weight off that rifle as well. But they all cost $$. Alloy bolt shroud -2oz Cut off bolt knob and install CF knob -2oz Flute bolt body -1oz TI firing pin -.25oz Alloy Picatinny rail (if that is steel now) -2 to 3oz Different stock (looks like an HS Precision on there) -10 to 16oz w. Manners or McMillan Edge TI brake -1oz Proof Research barrel -8 to 16oz
