Wow! I was wondering if it was a dumping spot for a DOT for roadkill. I had never seen that. 76 total in 2017 at this pass alone. Another 44 at a different pass nearby. In 1954, 26 mule deer died here from slipping amd falling to their deaths. In 1996, 16 more.

I have a ton of Milwawkee 18v cordless tools. So the Milwawkee Fuel 1/2" impact was a no-brainer for me. I use it for rattling down towersas well as making tire changes a snap. Just hang on tight.

I had a tire replaced at Discount Tire 6231 miles ago on warranty. About 1.5 months ago. I got a full set of tires last Thursday, so I am going to sell this newer tire. Built 20th week of 2022. 275/70R18 Copper Discoverer ATP II load range E. Came off the rear of a 2020 Dodge Ram 2500. I would say 80% or so tread. No patches. No major chunking, but a few minor ones from mountaintop work. 90% highway miles. $100

What is wrong with excercising a Constitutional right? I carry everywhere too. And am no giant of a man either. You are starting to overstep. -

.264/6.5mm 160gr Matrix Hunting Bullets
lancetkenyon posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I am thinking about ordering some .264/6.5mm 160gr Matrix bullets to try out in my 6.5SS I am building. If I can push them to 3050, it retains 1000ft/lbs and 1675 fps @ 1400 yards in my preferred deer hunting conditions. 1500ft/lbs and 2056fps @ 960 yards. Beats the 140 HVLD by almost 270-300 yards to keep the same energy/retained velocity when starting with a 3200MV. It is a $20 flat shipping rate, whether you order 100 or 500. Does anyone want to go in halves (250), or a couple guys go in 5ths (100) on a 500 count box? I just figured I would throw it out there before I drop the coin on a couple 100 count boxes. $51/100 plus shipping. 160 gr VLD design .685 BC .264"/6.5mm diameter Recommended 1:8" twist rate http://matrixballistics.com/.264-Caliber-hunting-bullets.html -

I don't think Matrix Bullets are in business any longer. I havevseen nothing about them in years, and a Google search yeilded nothing but old threads. -
Found, thanks! .250 savage/ .250-3000 ammo or brass

You can always get .22-250 brass and neck it back up to .257. -
Good to see someone put some meat on the ground in 7W this year. My nephew and I averaged 7.2 miles and 4000' elevation change a day up there last week. Saw some bulls, played a LOT of cat and mouse, and had a lot of LOOONG stalks that ended up with the bull departing before we could get him within range.

Auction it off.

I don't mix headstamps in a rifle. But I have loaded different rifles and used them each. There is a bit of case capacity difference. So you will have to tune your loads accordingly.

For me, my brass choice in 6.5CM would be: A. Lapua B. Alpha C. A or B
-
Interesting. I will have to check my 6 rifles that shoot SRPs and see what firing pins they have. Two Lone Peak Fuzions (6CM & .260AI) Two Defiance Deviant (Tac & GA Hunter) (25CM & 6.5CM) A Kelbly Nanook (25CM) Savage Axis (6.5CM)
