The way I understand it babe haughty was his guide for much more then a yr. When I was going up before the cabin burned there was a man called Mel Counsler I believe and he had lots o history. I will see if family has any official documentation but I won't call them liars they'll string me up.

I just cook then glass will the guides work no stress and I see plenty.. them boys do work there buts off for probably average less then $10.00 an horn and destroy there gear. Keep working and save and do a couple DIY hunts on off time. Or Dwaine Adams

Ya catch something, anyway crappie are in 2ft of water probably a week or two from spawning, fun and tasty, bass are in transition, buss packers and buzz baits working pretty good, some are spawning. If you can't hook a couple try dynamite. !night cat fishing picking up, and bring your bow carp are acting a little horny in ton to. That's all I got. Goodluck

Did some family history, and asked a few questions to the very wise elders. There must have been quit a few Merriam's elk in az back in the days because Babe Haught guided Zane Grey to many Merriam's kills. People are secret and discreet with there kills today with technology, so if there were a dozen or two reported and they were bulls, I would say that was a very small number of what was here back in 1700, 1800, early 1900's. Just sayin that's !he what elders say.

A little lower you find red small clams, perfect specimens, took one to asu and they said they were 2 million years old. The rim under water WOW:: don't get me started on az diamonds

Very cool, do you think its real? And if it is they would be the Merriam's elk, went extinct in erealy 1900's they were native to az and had some big racks, theres an 8x8 at the R Bar : boy scout camp on one of the cabins. Looks real to me from pics
