Was up at big lake last summer and was talking to a (G&F) officer , I was doing a little complaining about the tag fees going up. He made a dang good point " The tag is the cheapest part of the hunt and the reason for the hunt " you no he's right, how much do you spend for food , gas, beer if you drink the light stuff, camping equipment and much much more, and the deer tag is $48.00. and elk around $150.00 Ya there is a point to be taken. My opinion only

Yup. Be shore to sign up for that wildlife news. Just my opinion they don't like archery hunters. First they rake away or late 22archery do to low heard numbers, but they give out 800 rifle tags. Second take away batting do to wasting disease , blue tongue, which az has neither, and now put muzzy hunts before archery hunts. They are so full of BS. If you think they care what we say your hallucinating. Well anyway this is why I hunt antelope in Wyoming and buffalo in New Mexico.

I wouldn't agree that the archery hunts are always in the best part of the rut

I went thru kind of the same thing. I went back and forth with the judge and told him to come and arrest me. The problem is number one the judges hate game and fish tickets they consider everyone guilty. And number 2 its the way the game and fish have there laws written. Like you were going to a spot where you were going to hunt out of season, but the laws bundle up many things like attempting to hunt in the wrong units goes under taking game out of season, so they don't have a specific law for attempting, and it falls under there umbrella. Kinda like shooting from a road, but falls under the umbrella of taking game from a vehicle, very different but the same under law. Bottom line, when they say anything can and will be held against you believe it. Shut up take only the ticket no selfie. Good luck with that
