My dad, grandpa, and step grandpa got back from hunting near Angle Fire. They each killed 2 turkeys. 5 gobblers and a jake. They said most of them had hens and they didn't do well in calling them in, but they would locate them and then ambush them. I will try and post a pic of my dad.

It was private land, My step grandpa used to live in Angel fire and he has connections with some big ranch near the ski area. They make their money on Bull elk hunts and ranching, and my step grandpa has permission to hunt for turkey, grouse, and we usually get some cow elk tags.

I was camping near tonto creek this last weekend and woke up to turkeys gobbling. I assume they have hunts up there coming up. I also caught my limit of trout both days. Some in tonto creek and some at Willow springs.

Has anyone been fishing at Woods Canyon or willow springs this spring. My wife and I are going up there this weekend to camp and fish. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We are looking at staying at Upper tonto creek campground. Hows the fishing in tonto creek? Thanks Sorry I know this isn't coues related, but this is the only discussion forum I partcipate in. Andy

I put in for 27 WT muzzleloader, 27 WT Rifle, and then 26. I just moved to arizona from New Mexico. I can't afford to put in for NM elk so hopefully my dad will draw. Unit 36 muzzleloader. I killed a bull there last year.
