Welcome to AZ In order to get out and enjoy the desert in summer you may need to adjust your hours. I get up at 3a and hit the trails by 4a. I can work outside until around noon then head home. Still, I want the discipline to get up at 2a and enjoy another hour in the hills but it's tough.

MAP - Senate Bill USFS Lands for Sale - Units 5, 6 & 21 Hit Hard
Edge replied to AZCoueser's topic in The Campfire
Yeah it's on Drudge too. But not many conservatives look there since Drudge could no longer conceal his Trump Derangment Syndrome. -
Thanks for the offer. I was raised in that unit but maybe I'll run into ya.

I have an aging uncle residing in 34a. The unit was my first choice so I can get him out and behind some glass. Next choice was in the Hualapai's. I don't know them but have been interested in land nearby and there's gold in them hills.

He's got a huge tail, must be eating well. I haven't seen a rattler around here in a couple years. A week ago I had a 6' gopher snake in my shop. It's the largest snake I'd encountered in decades.

Another nice shower about 430a this morning. I hope Royal Norman forgives me for the insults as I scrambled to cover hay.

Funnel cloud, possible tornado in Prescott Valley, 5pm today. I saw the vortex in a video, but the filming ended before touchdown.

I hate to sound selfish but this rain ruined my drywashing for weeks to come but man we needed it. Area rain gauges put us around 1.25" and I have a new pond in the back forty.

Another vote for Groundhog Res.

Opened this can of Red Army ball in the field for a few rounds in the VEPR mag, probably 430 rounds plus remain. I could not find this round in bulk online so buy now or be a sad comrad. $300. Trades possible.

And it's a sweet pistol. Armi San Marcos Colt 1851 with conversion kit and trigger job.

Lol, no but.im sure they're out there. Me and a buddy played bandits in a recreation of a gold heist. We found these great sombreros at Goodwill ahead of the filming. The director wasn't thrilled, we had to wear hillbilly headgear .

I recently leased horses for a television production crew filming on BLM near Wickenburg. BLM gave them permission to film and did not ask for a permit due to the low impact and small footprint of the activity. They had a half dozen vehicles, a dozen crew members, us and our animals, drones etc. When the airing date approaches near, I may post again. Can't mention the show due to an NDA, but it's been on cable for years and seems pretty popular.

Each end of season, the owners of Vulture City put on a banquet to thank their employees and volunteers for the towns growing success. The owners pick a deserving member to receive a gift of my choosing, made in the Vulture City Forge. There's only a few employees and maybe 40 volunteers. It's not difficult to figure out something they might like. I make my blades, axes and other items in pairs. There's always something to beat on and something in the fire. Should there be a major mistake made, I have a backup. 🫣 This years pick is a western reenactment entertainer whom sports what looks like a Pakistani made knife. His gift is a 15" Bowie knife made from an old sawblade (1040)? Elk horn scales found in GMU 9. I counter sunk the pins and filled the cavity with a pinch of 21kt Arizona placer gold for a different looking mosaic. At the last minute, the wife said I should do a grape vine.on the knifes spine. The smaller knife is a gift for my daughter on Mother's Day.
