When I was old enough to be included on dad's big game hunts, he had a partner that often went. His name was Moe and he had some great hunting philosophy to lay down on an eager student like myself. I.E.; "Why lie in wait.... when you can wait and lie?" Moe was morbidly obese, old and bald with a voice like Winnie the Pooh. So I found it absurdly funny one night around the campfire. Everywhere he sat the smoke lofted into his face regardless of the azimuth he chose. He finally just accepted his fate, looked at me down his nose over his glasses and shrugged through the plume and said, "Damned smoke, why must it follow beauty?"

Classic twuth

I'm in the hills last couple days but listen to talk radio nights. Heard some fool named LeBron whining about how cops are out hunting black men (joker could hardly put 3 words together in a sentence...). Yes LeBron, when you're a serial rapists and woman beater with outstanding warrants, law enforcement will hunt you down, that's their job. Idiot. A couple tips for anyone subject to arrest, regardless of your skin tone: 1) Comply with lawful orders. Ignoring a cop doesn't make them go away. 2) Don't resist arrest. Jail is inconvenient when your livin the thug life, but hey your earning street cred. 3) Pointing weapons at cops looks cool in the movies but don't try this in the hood. Waving a knife or reaching for your gun, gives that cop you just head butted and spit on some social justice options that are detrimental to your health. 4) Stop making babies you'll never support. Finish school rather than disrupting it. Be a productive American and stop playing victim.

The ol lady and I were hired to pack into some inhospitable country for some archery hunters from this site. I had a weeks worth of their supplies and gear on pack horses and I urged them to take a days worth of goods on their own backs since they were hiking in ahead and I know how things can happen. One of the pack animals had a melt down less than half way in and threw gear all over a mountain side. By the time I had everything collected, we had no choice but to spend the night on a hill so steep you could barely stand on. Man were the boys at the cabin glad to see us the next day. Guess maybe they had to spoon that night before since we had their sleeping bags.

Yeah the buck was shot I'm Eastland UT about 200' from my future property line. There's an ugly story I won't get into about how the county sheriff had to get involved to get the head back from the taxidermist.
