Yes. There was an annual spring gathering there. I believe many of the Yavapais thought Gen Crooks orders to get thee to a reservation or be considered combatants was an edic meant for Apaches, not them. http://prescottazhistory.blogspot.com/2016/06/the-true-victims-of-bloody-basin-were.html?m=1

Please tell me an embezzler works at an Adult Novelty store? Nobody in my intimate zone needs any. Although I must admit, I wear out several riding crops and buggy whips each year.
-
The Yavapai? They were doing their best to social distance from the cavalry, but...

I left two bucks, you should hobble up here and find it. P38 is my prize I don't need one off the internet, got one in my pocket There must be 2 dozen signatures. Third geocache I've stumbled upon.

So poking around there I seemed to have stumbled upon a geocache. Neat but sorry folks, I'm keeping the P38.

You forgot "thirdly" Thirdly, who the heck believes anything the Chinese say? Commies lie whenever their lips move.

Yes the 12 pounder Bull Pup had only a thousand yard range at 5 degrees elevation. Your ma knew her history.

dang, your good. Above pics are of the army gun emplacements guarding the Grief Hill army trail from 1865-1870 and later the Crook Trail. The supply wagons from Ft Whipple were unloaded in this area and packed onto mule trains for the trip down to Camp Verde. Was a great spot for the Yavapai or Apaches to ambush so this outpost was built. Much of the wall has collapsed but some small arms portals still exist and mountain Howitzers would have been placed between battlements.

Problems with this graph, it doesn't tell the entire story, here's why; Starts out in 1930 during the great depression when stock certificates weren't worth the paper they were printed on. Gold has never been worth zero, and at the same time the government controlled and regulated its value. Took 20 years for the stock market to show signs of recovery after '30. Meanwhile gold prices were kept artificially low until 1975. While your stock value.may be going up in price, that same dollar is going down in value. Pretty sure I mentioned monetizing gold...thats drawing interest on your shiny stash. Not sure I'd want to put gold in some institutes vault...I like it close by where I can oogle it. If you're around when the next depression hits, those stock certificates will make great tp but when the plumber comes to unplug your drain, have fat stacks of cash handy...or cross his palms with silver, gold.

When my grandpa was mining it in 1970 it was $35 dollars an ounce. He put some away...in 1980 it hit $800 per ounce. A 2700% increase. Never say never.

'More' being the optimal word. I have a friend lives on his wife's income as a Target clerk, but he fixes small engines on the side. He dredges every 2 days locally, then comes home 2 days, recovers an ounce per month but doesn't sell it, it's his retirement. Using past gold performance charts, in 20 years he'll have 240 ounces put aside worth $1.730,000 He can probably live on the interest the gold brings in a gold monetization scheme.

Meet you in Tempe

Tons of turkeys in that unit, you shouldn't have a problem tagging out. Lots of camping right off the hiway or call and look into cabins at Clint's Well.

Current stimulus bill would add $600 per week to maximum weekly payment (AZ unemployment max is $240 per week before taxes) and add 4 months of benefits. Read, digest, discuss...
