correct, sir. It was a .22 over 20ga. Always thought the .357 over 12ga. would be a great combo. My son has the Savage now, it was his great grandfather's. Sent me pics last week of it along with some rabbits he was roasting over afire taken with it.

Stevens model 44

I used to pickup rimfire .45 and .45-70 rimfires. I'd guess they were made around 1870 give or take.My most recent find of an old rimfire round was out at Humbug, a .41 short, probably for a Derringer.
