Hunting stereotypes- Best thing I've seen in a while.

Freaking hilarious... -
Reckon if you're wearin chaps but not cowboyin, hear its pants optional.

Flagstaff is up over a foot of snow than the usual amount. CA mountain snow packs are expected to be at 150% by the end of next month. Meanwhile, Phx is down 1/4" of precip.Let's hope for more rain as we head into the driest months.

I bet more cattle visit his house than actually leave his house.

maybe there's a balcony to hang it from for skinning? That would sure be handy, maybe break the ice with the cute chick next door?

I once tried to cram a nice 3x4 blacktail into the trunk of a 2dr Toyota Tercel. Then when I got home to my swanky Seattle neighborhood, I butchered it in the driveway so all my neighbors could watch and learn.

Deer of course. I'm wondering what bullet in a .223 for elk?Do I get the double doucher? As long as it's a berger in any grain and you shoot the bull in the shoulder it will work fine out to 800. Berger's are made out of melted leprechaun teeth and kill every animal on impact. Ask anyone that shoots them, they'll be sure to let you know! Then my tasco 4x should be enough scope if my kill zone is only 800. Is that meters or feet? My backup plan was swapping out The .177 guns Simmons 4.5x, but I got that all dialed in out to 600 for bighorn should I get drawn with 2 points.

Flatlander. I know you are probably at work but watcha think, hmmm?
-
I guess. Offered to take some one to a javi hot spot if we could get there by 5am, wasn't happening.
-
I hope I win
-
shouldn't you be javelina hunting somewhere?

Threw caution to the wind, went ape. Decided to put in where I wanted to hunt, in units I know. Where as my partner wanted bull only early archery. If we don't get drawn, do the same next year in AZ and maybe head to CO for the OTC tags 5a 5bs 9 10 8 I know the application gives you all these additional unit options, not certain at all how that works but there you have it.

I ended up putting in with a fellow with 9 points. I have 1.

Sure, 3000 hours of classroom study,1500 hours lab. 12 months ojt, additional courses in satellite, radar interpretation, long range model forecasting, rawinsonde and pibal launching and plotting, field observation, metar and conus work chart plotting... Should be a breeze, buddy. Honestly, every pilot should be a fair meteorologist, minimum.
-
Somewhat true in the civilian world but DOD meteorologists forecast the weather with the threat of Ft Leavenworth hanging over their heads if they goofed up and an aircraft went down or military assets were damaged.Even the smallest error in a forecast would call for a review and the forecaster would have to go back and prepare a presentation as to why the conditions occurred that were not forecasted.

Studs! Top pic looks like a M88 Win Bottom a Savage 99 or same rifle? That bottom pic looks like a still from 'The Rifleman'

Yes, told dad, now 89, I wanted to replace the 4x Weaver tube on that Gamemaster and he was not too pleased. Dad, "Don't need to take shots past 150 yards with the .06!" Me, "I got my Coues at 309 yards with the .243" last Nov, pop." Dad, "You sound mighty sure it was 309 yards!?" Spent the next few minutes explaining Range Finders. Was a good visit.

looking forward to that.

When I first went to the portal, it listed my bonus points. Made the mistake of looking again yesterday, says I got zero. That would be great if I had already put in an application for this year, but alas... No
