Looks like a short shaft I had the same motor in a long shaft. Great motors.

Not sure how the bears know there's food in canned chow but they do, must be trial and error. But haven't had them mess with water cans yet.

Hicking sucks. Hike in, keep the jugs unopened, cache out of the sun lite. Are there baars where you're hicking? Sorry couldn't resist. Call me if I can help.

I used the belt pack fishing in LA and east TX. Can't be a worst place on earth for Skeeter's. Wort great, no bug bites.

I would have to assume a sidearm is OK in this situation as well. I mean I know there are those whom would circumvent the law and try and have another hunting day, but AZGFD's paranoia does not trump my God given right to defend myself. What are you suppose to do, carry a pointy stick?Looking for a wounded bear unarmed, call them to put it down? Is AZGFD going to pay your hospital bills if your mauled?

Tried we did. Everything from crawling through the thickets to crawling into caves with the headlamp and 357. I am planning on going up next weekend to see if I can glass up vultures if he is in fact dead. Something is telling me that he is alive though. Your dedication to this hunt, finding and harvesting this animal is a credit and shining example for the hunting community. For this I say thank you.

Embarrassed to say I got you beat. 2004 F350 with Fx4. Another message board said the Rancho shocks on these were stock Ford shocks under license to wear Rancho markings? What's the cheapest route to replace them, may not have the truck much longer. Is there someone out there rebuilding them? Shocking!

A hunter true to his craft can lose the X but keep his honey hole. Welcome, Tom. Shoot me details on the upcoming hunt, I'll be there with a pack n mule.

Just another nice day in Coues country
Edge replied to rancilio's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Nice, love the area. But the Coues looks like he's wearing bunny slippers. -
This would sell pretty quickly on AZshooting.com

Yes, congrats on a nice buck and for staying the course.

Too bad, Devan. But it looks like the left antler is already being chewed on.

Sorry for your loss but how good it was to know them. My father is pushing 90 and not well, got to cherish them while you can before being left with memories. Frank may have wanted you to hunt.

Honestly, I carry a magnum for instances like that. That guy had incredible composure.

Dang, our German Shepherds must have been related. Lol Red Sparky is correct. In many soils there is insufficient mineral or moisture content to provide decent grounding. And the pulsing chargers are using a capacitor discharge. Much safer, won't start fires if dry weeds touch it but strong enough to create an electrical field capable of styming weed growth. I had some strong, solar recharging chargers capable of a 1.5 jule rating. It knocked me down a couple times. Sometimes I would see bucks running thru the area with my hot tape tangled in their racks from trying to step thru the fence strands. They too would learn, eventually. Meanwhile, I'd be repairing the fence and out collecting my wayward ponies.

You're better off putting several strands of hot fence up above ground. Animals will get shocked and stay out after some negative reinforcement, and your dogs will stay in. With the invisible fencing, dogs would get shocked going over it and not want to come back in fear of being shocked again. I ran miles of electric fence on my place up north. After a few weeks most deer and elk in the area learned to respect it too. Let me know if you need help setting one up. Very inexpensive.

Have had my share of pistols and long guns, but there are some I wish I hadn't parted with. What guns or hunting equipment do you wish you could have back? 686 Mk II Ruger .300 H H Wesson .357 Max
