    Problem with neighbor's dog

I had a similar problem with a neighbor's pitbull. After several warnings, it inexplicably went missing never to be a problem again.

    Vowells Monday check in

Great work, Devan I once heard that for every pound of fat we carry, our hearts must pump blood thru an additional mile of capillaries. I lost 8 pounds on a recent 6 day hunt and I'm keeping it off. Hope to lose a couple more after hunting tomorrow
  3. Thanks to everyone whom offered up the kudos. Pictures were nice from what I've seen so far. Men argue, nature acts. The trip came with a powerful, spiritual epiphany for me. Let's just say that Christ does speak to those whom listen.

    Girls and Hunting

Many of the heads in our trophy room were mom's. She grew up on a farm in western PA during the depression. She's one tough bird. As a kid, had to get up before dawn and start fires under the water line that brought spring water to the house. Now in her 80s, she still maintains a 160 bowling avg.

    coues wilderness jan hunt

Well, I pointed him in the right direction but it looks like we are going with out him, he'll be hiking in with his dad. Many have contacted us about going on horseback hunts, some are even taking riding lessons. To go along, just have the right attitude and a will to keep a horse or mule between you and the ground.

    American Sniper

I'm leaving for a two week business trip to several ports in Asia next Weds, and was looking for some reading material for the long flights. Now I'm thinking I'll hold-off on the movie for now, and get the book to read on my trip! Then maybe catch the movie upon my return.... S. You'll b glad you did. Great book! If you like it you should also check out 98 confirmed kills about carlos Hitchcock. I actually liked it even better. 98 confirmed kills E everyone I loaned the book to could not put it down, including my mom. Carlos Hathcock not hitchcock

  15. Helped some friends out with their hunt so missed much of my own. Hauled gear and water in, and a mule that had been abandoned on the trail a month earlier, joined us. Made it over to my gmu with 3 days left. First morning, climbed a mesa and saw good sign. At noon got a shot at a nice buck but much brush did bless him. Next morning me and Mike went back up the mesa and glassed it good. 30 minutes later a deer appears on the opposite end of the mesa and slooooooowly browsed towards us. Guess he didn't see us two ninjas in black cowboy hats. At about 300 yards, we had given up on seeing a bigger buck and this spike was about to jump off the mesas edge so I thought I would help him down with 158 grains of reloads I've had lying around since the mid 1960s. The old Gamemaster meatpole is about 60 years old and nobody has messed with that Weaver 1.5 X 4 in 50 years. Ok so I'm one cheap sob. Ate leftover pizza and complained about my used boots from Goodwill. But got er done for about $50. Afterwards, Mike treated me to a great roast and a nice trail ride. Oh, and thanks for demonstrating the gutless method.

    Bye Bye Dish Network!!

We don't get cable and high speed internet out here, heck half the time I cant even make a phone call. Neighbor has Comcast satellite but it's temperamental at best Only good thing from all this, my blood pressure is normalizing not watching those jerks in WA, D.C..

    Bye Bye Dish Network!!

What did you think of the explanation given as to why Fox News was no longer offered on DISH.......DISH tries to throw it back onto Fox for strong arming negotiations......I am not sure I buy that explanation....I think it's BS. Fox News has the best rated shows on the air they should be paid what they are worth. Funny, CNN was pulled too but they are back and nobody watches. I just got back from Pacifica Commifornia. No Fox News there, ever. Go figure.

    bargain buck

That was one tasty buck. But he's almost all gone. Time to go let the air out of another one.

No offense taken, Dan buddy. You will want ear and eye protection for sure, mellow loads are a plus. This is one of the guns I learned to shoot wit been in the family 50 years. Even my sister would shoot it. Prefer to shoot .38s thru it, and the cylinder is properly shimmed. The original model was adapted by the army for mounted troopers. Can be fired rather accurately with one hand. Model didn't take off cuz Remington made it in cap and ball. A little late considering the emergence of brass casings.
