I've pushed cattle thru there, Dan. Lot of nice bucks in there. A friend of mine lives in those ranchettes on the south side of the 10, his wife feeds the deer. But then, I've seen plenty of deer in your neighborhood, too .

Sounds like fun. See any crawly things? I'm thinking the battery didn't last long? Try this with two 6 Volts, just duct tape them together after connecting them in a series..

A covert act would be to put the bait out and hunt over it, understand?
-
Oh, who wouldn't want to catch a hunter cheating? It happens, we could start a thread on it. But it takes an overt act for there to be a crime, not assumptions and "muddy waters." Like the one fellow pointed out, you see people road hunting, now, prove it.

These isis wimps look for soft targets like the ones Clinton made of our state side service men and women at military bases. Ever heard anything so ridiculous? Isis weanies aren't too interested in stirring up trouble with armed folk.

Arrowed my first black bear!!!!!!
Edge replied to bowhuntaz1's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Congrats on the bear success. The deer weenie is twisted but funny, sounds like an out take from the movie 'Deliverance.' A coyote pack and other predators can spread a gutpile near and far. Don't give the weenie weirdo too much credit. lol -
AZ Lance makes a good point, if it bugs ya, report the circumstances, let them wardens catch him in a crime if one is being committed. I'm going fishing and using chum as bait. vs I'm going fishing and baiting with chum. One is a no-no here. Kinda like having a greenhorn at a dude ranch. Riding drag. vs Riding in drag. Two very different things. One of these activities above means you'll eat a lot of dust, the other activity will get you shot and bite the dust.

Now he was awkwardly hiding two containers with deer baiting labels? You didn't say that! Sounds suspicious! Why didn't you just shoot him? (sarcasm)

My Monday check ins are on Tuesday. 217# this morning, down about 8# from the start of this. No major exercise last week but did drop the beer a few days ago and took a short hike with Mike, ready for the next one. And Mike, it aint a race. Learned a new term Sunday, the 'Michael Mile.' It's an undetermined distance, unlike statute or nautical miles. Better put, it is however far it is from point A to point B when hiking with Mike..

Nice, Rick I need a pair of those. Did I mention I have a birthday coming up?

How do you know that wasn't salt in the container? Maybe it was gluten-free granola for lunch and he didn't like you staring at it. One man's bait is another man's meal. If I take a couple corn cobs with me on a hunt, have I committed a crime? How many of you take an apple or two with you? Alert, deer love apples! If I'm packing, got enough sweet feed for the animals, corn, alfalfa pellets..... The crime is baiting, not taking afield what you say is bait. Are we going to have our packs and panniers searched next? If you see him actually breaking the law, please call the warden.

Visited that mammoth kill site south of Sierra Vista last week. Brought back some great memories.

Use a pair of 6 volt batteries and get a lot more amp hours instead of a 12v.

Some good Coues or Mule areas for semi-handicapped...
Edge replied to dpr64's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
If you are getting as loud and useless as me in the sticks, try putting a salt lick near a game trail and put up a blind. Me and Mulepackhunter hiked into a unit yesterday to retrieve his camera. We were glassing up a big bull chewing his cud 500 yards out under a tree, when I dropped my cane in the rocks...Duhhhhhhhhhhh! -
Requesting help/advice for Unit 31
Edge replied to milquetoast's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Hey Milquetoast, welcome aboard. Check back regularly as hunters read your post, many are out of town flinging pointy sticks. Whish I could help more but haven't hunted that unit since the mid '70's in bellbottoms. Can anyone help this good guy have good luck huntin with his grandson? Feel free to PM. -

Was this an interpretive fire dance of Pickett's Charge?

We've been going to a local indoor gun range to take advantage of coupons we got for the establishment.... but no more. I've never seen a more undisciplined and motley crew of gun totting bottom feeders looking for an accident to happen. While waiting for a lane to open, I watched thru the glass as a woman stared down the barrel of a 1911 that had misfired. Another one came in to the desk and complained her rental pistol was defective. That was when she was taught to rack the semi=auto to put a round in the tube and back to the firing line she went. Got swept by an AR-15 a young man was returning to the desk, he had it backwards in the case with the barrel sticking out. He began to sweep me a second time when I grabbed the barrel and yelled at him to wake up...he just shrugged and said "No habla."

36A Batamote Ranch gate locked
Edge replied to 2thehunt's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Sometimes hunters, sometimes others. Some of the gate signs should also read CERRADO LA PUERTA, not that that would make any difference to those whom have no vested interest. -
trphyhntr.... step away from the donuts, hand me the beer.

Withdrawals....
Edge replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
The political discussion helped set this forum apart from others that are too moderated and can't handle the truth. If it offends you, look away. No one is forcing you to read or participate. One more thing, Obama is not a hunter and would rather you not hunt as well. His admin. will take care of all the forest creatures for you.
