  1. $60 for a handy??? I can't believe I'm saving that much doing it myself! And probably doing a better job too!Totally, plus last time she was like 60 years old tooDear Lord I m getting old, I've seen some 60 year olds and thought, yeah I'd hit that.
  2. My bro in law went to Palo Verde and there should be a '?' at the end of your sentence. So no to winning in both cases, buddy.
  3. I dont know how long you been around on forums including this one. but the internet sales has always been like this. This hunters helping hunters or fishermen helping fishermen is just feel good BS nothing more. its never been true and never will be when someone is buying or selling something. sellers almost always ask more than its worth and buyers always try to jew people down. forums are just a bad as Craigslist / back page if not worse. this pretty much started in the late to mid 90's and hasnt changed since. Back in the day of the classifieds on print. you would go look at something with cash in hand and either buy it for advertised or offer him less then be done with it wether he says no or not. due to the internet there is no face to face haggling so to speak. its all behind a key board on a celphone. firearms usually went for 75% to be honest they arent worth more that unless they have collectors value. or are REALLY NIB not LOOKS LIKE NEW IN BOX. firearm accessories usually went for 50-60% only a fool would buy a pair of binocs or spotting scope 2-3 or more years old for 80% of new price. but hunters just like fishermen think there shoot is worth gold but yet when it comes time to buy it they want to pay shoot prices... funny how that works you can see that on forsale ads on every forum. I look at it this way. if someone has something I want I buy it for what there asking, if I dont like the price I dont buy it and buy new or wait for something to come up. AND BTW no one is in real need of buying anything sporting related. they would like to buy it but they DONT NEED TO as far as selling something cause someone needs money they take what they can get. this excuess has been used to get peoples feelings thinking they are helping someone out in need only too many times to see that person selling it turnaround 1--3 weeks later buying something else.. Not so, I'm always looking to upgrade tents because my ol lady tells me I may be living in one full time soon.

    HSUS gives up fight

like pork belly, horse meat was a commodity, some chose to eat it or pack it to consumers abroad, or dog food, leather, glue, protein. Horses that went to slaughter were often blind, lame, old or in some other way, undesireable. Some of the unintended consequences of slaughter house closures were the loss of thousands of jobs and horses losing their base price. And worse for the horses, with no US slaughter houses taking them in, horses were then shipped to Mexico for slaughter using rather barbaric kill techniques. And when many thousands of home owners lost their property during the recent real estate bust, you couldn't give a horse away. With no legal slaughter available, former home owners were abandoning their animals out in the desert or dumping them at boarding facilities. Personally I've never taken a horse to slaughter but I was running a stallion station with two studs and scores of quality brood mares when the USDA pulled inspectors from horse kill lots. I went from having horse flesh worth $50-60K to a base line of zero $ per pound over nite. Horses aren't raised here for meat per se but it was always good having their value on the positive side of the books rather than a liability. Sorry OP, getting off track, HSUS is bad news

    HSUS gives up fight

I figured HSUS could get the needed signatures, maybe not. I just went to their website and all references to the cat bill in AZ is gone. But they're busy suing CO and NM over lion and bear hunting and trapping regs. HSUS was instrumental in getting horse slaughter banned in the US a couple decades ago. It was one of those liberal feel good measures that had devastating effects on the horse industry in America.

Location Fact for Mule Deer Hunting

WTF lol? I eat deer so deer are like restaurants. And like restaurants, location is everything. Some don't mind waiting in line for a table or will sit at the bar. I look for the elusive hole in the wall, greasy spoons.
  7. Sahuaro '79Glad you survived that! We couldn't even spell our school name correctly.
  8. https://youtu.be/u75XQdTxZRc It's free enterprise, art of the deal. Guess you could post, price firm or no negotiating and ignore the tire kickers. And it's 'too' dangerous, lots of grammar Nazis, T-O-O; (of which I am their glorious leader).

    ATV vs UTV vs 4Runner/Samuri/Etc

I had a diesel mule that had everything including removable cab, hydraulic dump, you name it. Handy on trails and farm but with a top speed of only 25mph, you'd get run over on roads. I wouldn't buy another UTV that couldn't hit at least 40mph

  19. I agreed to take this rifle in trade when I found out I was drawn for elk. Turns out I got a bow tag. This rifle is a new old stock safe queen. Im hesitant to put the first round through her, if I do she gets a forever home. While this 70 has a walnut stock it has a stronger action than the closest comparison I can find, a Super Grade. You can order one now from Cabela's online. By the time you pay tax, FFL and buy scope mount, you'll have spent over $1800. https://www.cabelas.com/product/WINCHESTER-MODEL-SUPER-GRADE-CENTERFIRE-RIFLES/2271450.uts?slotId=0
  20. Manufactured 1976. Appears to never have been fired. Hooded front sight, jeweled bolt, adjustable trigger, Monte Carlo stock with metal pistol cap. Walnut stock, checkered with cheek rest. Pachmayr recoil pad. One piece Leopold plate, rings. $550 will consider partial trades and cash, watcha got?
  21. I have never seen a game warden where I put cams and rarely another hunter or hiker. I love seeing what critters are coming in to a site. I'll continue putting them out, not using them for hunting. I'll also be putting out more salt with my cams over them. Guess it's win-win for animals; fewer pics, more electrolytes.

  24. G&F won't have to seize your cams. By making this ambiguous rule, the unwashed masses of outdoors wannabes will feel emboldened to remove them more so than ever as if there were now some legal mandate.
  25. Thanks buddy. Last price drop to $550.
