    Sing for me no mo

    Omg, that is funny...
  2. Just wrapped up 4 1/2 days hiking gmu 9 mixing shed and predator hunting. After three days of seeing only squirrel and rabbit, luck changed. While walking down to a water hole, this beach crossed my path about 100 yards down. Saw her thru a narrow shooting lane at a run so I sat down and waited, 10 minutes later here she comes. Only had a split second to present and fire the old .06. Got down to the scene thinking I had missed when I found almost half a lung and lots of blood, tote still managed to run another 40 yards. Resumed my hike, and found two elk spike sheds and a couple broken points near this old corral around Millers seep. Building this corral back in the day was a monumental task. It easily encircled a couple acres and was at one time 3 timbers tall. (Website isn't allowing me to upload pic's but I'll keep trying.

The science center sounds cool (pun)But swapping bath water with 5,000 two legged rats peeing in their trunks? Hope they're safer than public pools. Mall? Gimme your man card lol. Rather be malled by a bear than mauled at the mall. Jk You need a pass nowadays to ride a pogo?

Great billboard, Jim. Is the jaguar an AZGFD trophy?

    Water holes

Maybe put a couple large rocks in it. I see it has a squirrel egress, but... Was hiking with my dog yesterday, he jumped in an AZGFD water tank and would have drown had I not been there. Their water holes are deep one end, shallow the other, but a panicking animal can't always figure that out. Cinder blocks turned on their side would provide a step up without taking up a large volume of water.

    Monday Check in

Was tipping the scale at 218. So when I got the chance to head up north to shed hunt, I left the horses at home and hiked. After 4 1/2 days, lost 9 pounds. Tired, but feeling great today.

Dealing with 100 days of heat

Won't let the AZ heat bother me this summer... Just spent 5 days in gmu 9 hiking and hunting. Next month I head to MT to practice hitching and driving mule teams. Aug, wrangling pack mules into MT's Bob Marshall Wilderness for a week of hunting and fishing.

Now that was a horse trade wasn't it. Your pistol for that pony. Anxious to see how Doc has improved. Jack, I have no doubt your a good guy, its just tough to tell when someone is serious or not when reading type. After all, farriers are some of the hardest working people out there. I do my own trimming used to shoe, too.

She's priced to sell considering there's not much market for brood mares in the paint horse lines and she needs to go to a trainer. Jack, if you have any more concerns or opinions, feel free to pm me. Otherwise, go start your own thread designed to awe and amaze folks with all your knowledge.

Its been a while since I kept up with assoc. rules, but I'm pretty sure its been a while since you could get papers on a horse that tests positive.

Oh and Jack since you're concerned, she's also negative for Lethal White. Come have a look at her Jack, and while you're here, please trim the neighbors stallion, his hooves look awful. Hey I can get you tons of business on the west side.

+1 Being that she is "Impressive" bred is she negative for the HYPP gene? She's N/N for HYPP.For those unaware of HYPP, it's a genetic mutation that can affect one or both sides of the genetic strands of the animals DNA The infected animal is unable to metabilise Potassium causing muscle tremors or even paralysis. It's an inherited mutation and Leggy's dam and sire are both N/N as well making it impossible for Leggy to be infected. I've seen the N/H and H/H horses have episodes. Old school halter breeders actually bred for it, not knowing they were spreading a mutation, because the tremors of infected horses also created dang muscular show winning horses.

Lark, Great lookin critter, name? Jack, The blondee started with halter shows and with those bloodlines and color genetics, she was more valuable as a brood mare. Bred at 3, 11 months gestation, year off, repeat. I know she can clear a 5' fence cuz I've not only seen her jump out of her stall, I've seen her jump back in. Lunging in the arena, she self rates and collects over obstacles and standards just like a veteran eventer Clearing 5' with an elk on the sawbucks? Sure, right after downing 5 gallons of RefBull.
