Ironically, I just finished getting a pomegranate ready to consume. Fry's had them on sale last week 10 for $10.

Now, what was the question? Oh yeah, how did they get there? I have no earthly idea but the Spanish did bring them in AZ in the 1600s. So maybe there was an old orchard or maybe someone or something was eating them and dropped a few seeds that took root.  Could also be seeds washed into the area during a flood perhaps.

    Or dropped by a bird

I thought Outdoor Writer nailed it.

Having lived in Albuquerque, I looked into Juan Tabo and sorry, I think no one knows the truth.

A few years ago I got caught in a crazy thunderstorm in the wilderness and this little cave was the best thing I could find for shelter...while I was waiting for the storm to pass I notice a piece of metal in the back of the cave and I started moving rocks and all this old miners loot was stashed in there...pretty crazy find...except the sumbitch didn’t leave any gold behind

  4. In Navajo mythology, bear and man were equals. Both were soon summoned after creation to stand before the great spirit at a feast for them.

The great spirit needed to determine which would rule the day, the other, the night.

At the appointed judgement time, the man appeared in a punctual and ready fashion. The bear was no where to be found.

Come spring the bear arose, frantic for being late he placed his moccasins on the wrong feet in the dusk and shuffled off to the judgement spot as darkness fell.

Great spirit saw the ways of the bear and left him domain of the night, making him scavange and shuffle for evermore.

there was this rancher the neighbors thought was toast.  some apaches' broke out of the reservation and burned his ranch-the neighbors found his remains burned up in the ashes.

they were having his funeral a day later and he comes riding up on horseback.

    who, what and where???

Maybe try posting a screenshot next time. That may take a fool a little longer to google it.

    Thanks buddy.

Was supposed to be a fun exercise in AZ history trivia. Not a race to see who has the most search engine talent.

Arizona lists the San Xavier mission, and the cabin at Ft. Misery, as the two oldest standing structures in Az. That threw me off a bit in my search. 😆

Well San Xavier is not Anglo and Ft Misery was built 6 years after Brunkows Cabin and no longer exists.. So yeah, should have thrown ya pretty good.
