I was up scouting for elk ..... omg those dam flies/nats.....really tiny! Driving me and my dogs crazy! What, besides conventional sprays, can I use to stop/block them? I got bit on the legs near the ankles.... was that the black nats or chiggers?

I need ammo for my .270 Any recommendations? Primarily for deer. I've always been a Winchester/Remington ammo but maybe I should venture to other brands? Accuracy being the key.
