Update - thanks for all of the advice. Did me well when looking at used rigs. Pulled the trigger on a 23' Skyline. A bit out of the age range I was looking for but the price it is worth it and enough room for the Mrs. & I as our step-up rig. Doesn't need much other than a spring over conversion and a new to us "bathroom sitter". 4800lbs dry so I figured a weight dist/sway control hitch should be something to consider after I replace the bearings and get D load range tires. 1999 Coleman Utah popup is about to be on the classifieds. I'll write up an ad soon with the good, bad, and ugly. I've always been 100 transparent on stuff I sell. No hidden B/S from me. Good karma has always done me right.

The time has come to move up to a bumper pull trailer and put the pop-up out to pasture. I've been doing some research and been trolling Craigslist for a long time now. Looking for a used 21' - 26' trailer within the $12K range. Pulling it with a RAM Cummins so weight does not really concern me in that length of trailer. I have narrowed down the choices to a NASH or Artic Fox. I'm concerned about the quality of most newer trailers. For those of you who have had or still own a bumper pull, am I missing a brand out there that is still decent quality?

Flatlander - Interesting on the Nomad. I've been in touch with a couple that has a 2013 23' Nomad Joey w/slide and walk around queen bed and are asking well under $12K. If I can get them to accept an offer under $10K I will pull the trigger on that one. Any issues or challenges with your Nomad that I could benefit from knowing about when I look at this Joey again?

MDA33 - yes I am. I’ll post up here on C/W first, with all the details. It’s been a good rig to us.

After lots of researching and discussions in this forum I pulled the trigger on Nitto Grappler G2 E-rated for my RAM 2500. This was about 2 years and 24K miles ago. Regular rotations. Did well until this past month. Tread separation on 2 tires so far. Luckily I caught it before taking out a fender or bedside. Have the certs from Discount and they have treated me fairly thru this. They are working with Nitto to see if the other 2 will be replaced as well. I expect that to be at minimal cost to me. Otherwise I will be writing off Nitto from my preferred choice. I'll update this update once I find out what Nitto comes back with.

TomKat - I'll take a couple if there are any available after the couple takers. Let me know. Thanks!

So, after Discount contacting them and me contacting them, Nitto basically said "go pound sand", we will not pro-rate any replacements, or provide any incentives for replacing the remaining 2 tires until they too begin to separate tread. Pretty much sealed the deal with me that I will not be involved in anything favorable towards Nitto. The Discount Tire guys though are outstanding. They cut me a smoking deal on replacement for the remaining 2 tires. I'll run them until I set aside enough funds to purchase a different set of tires.

Wind and rain made it very tough for me to locate them. Either way I saw fresh activity high and low and on the South side of the hills.

G&F relocated a batch of lopes and did a lot of modifications to the area they went to. http://ktar.com/story/2418980/arizona-agency-relocates-part-of-antelope-herd-300-miles-south/

Checking in with the archery hunters in 33/37B that were able to hit the hills. How were the numbers this year? I've got a HAM tag this year. Scouting has produced some promises but the numbers of sightings have been quite lower this year for me. Always did well in previous years. Had a hip replacement done recently and that has caused me to not be able to put as many miles on the boots as I wanted. Hoping that is that is the only reason my scouting has produced less options than years before. Sure is super green out there tho. Comments?
