Sorry to keep you all waiting so long on this. I got my buck late last week and been busy with the family and work stuff. Okay so I learned so much about measuring a buck . First off I learned about inside spread and you don’t measure the widest point of the inside of the antler(greatest spread), you measure the width of the widest point of the main beam(inside spread of main beam )my bad for miss leading you guys on that . I also learned that the Boone and Crockett measure for a perfect symmetrical animal, as some of you had stated. I lost almost 10 inches on his net score because of the extra tine on the one side and unsymmetrical tine length. I love my buck and this doesn’t change my feelings about how amazing he is. I did learn a lot on measuring though . He netted 95 6/8 and grossed 105 2/8.

The guy scoring him said give him a couple days . I dropped him off with him on Thursday , so I’ll probably give him a call today and see where he is on him. Hopefully I can get back to you all on a official score tonight.

Congratulations man. This kinda of stuff is getting me fired up for my hunt.

Well Richard wasn’t able to do it tonight. Said he’d get to it in the next few days . That guy has some amazing mounts in his house.

I just love these little deer so much ! By far the most majestic and beautiful in the deer species in my opinion.

That’s a really cool buck man!!! I thought this would be fun , genuinely appreciate all your honest opinions and pointers on what to gauge from.

Maybe that will help some of you with a good guess.

Well I haven’t with me so let me see what I can do

He could score 99 and I’d still love this buck and the memory of harvesting him. I do hope he’s closer to your guess though lol. In a couple hours I take him to get measured. The guy asked if I could leave him to give time to measure him , but kind hoping he could do it while I’m there and give me some pointers on how to measure him .

Hahahaha my dogs love when I’m successful. I make them homemade dog food using the tendons , scrap meat and bones .We call it lucky dog! She knows what’s coming. 😏

I take him this evening to get him measured. I did tape him when I got him home, but I don’t know if I did it right , that’s why I want a o official Boone and Crockett measurer. We’ll just say he’s close enough to have him officially scored, by my measurements.

Same here man! Thought it would be fun to see what everyone would give him . As soon as I know I post it here. Until then we’ll give others a chance to guess.

I’m gonna be taking him tomorrow night after I get off work ,he said to give him a couple days to get it measured so hoping have him back with an official score on Friday or Saturday.

I like the exact measurement down to the 8th.

I’m very happy with this buck extremely blessed to have taken him , no matter what he scores! I’m just curious if he makes the “mark” . Thought it would be fun to see what you guys thought he’d score since it’s been a little quiet in here.

The field photos are sh*t ! I was solo and on the side of a steep mountain losing light. I do have a couple of it with me at home that my fiancé took .
