Anyone interested in Long Range Rifle deal?

I didn't see left-hand options. Do they make left handed rifles?

    Where is this?

It is Hutch Road, close to Chevlon Retreat. I was joyriding around a few months ago killing time and found it in the road on its side. Went back weeks later and saw that someone moved it away from the road and tore it up some more. I feel for those people that live out there. Some nice homes, and then some people that are just looking for a place to cook meth.

    Where is this?

Snapshot got me thinking about this one. I think someone will guess this right away since there are hunts and scouting that have been going on since I took this pic. I really like these "where am I" topics.

    Where is this?

It looks like this now. Someone pulled it off of the road and beat it up more.

    Where is this?

Kind of close to the Rez. This was a nice Ranger before the rollover. It's been there abandoned for 5 months.

    Where am I?

I know the cabin and the place you were at, I forget the name. Good post, that is the last unspoiled area in AZ. I don't get to go there as often as I like.

Looking for opinions on where to live in AZ

I like what Elkaholic said. Pick a part of town you can get out of quickly if you choose the valley. That was the way I picked a house. I work too much and when I get a chance to leave, it's usually at 4 or 5 in the afternoon on Friday. I live in east mesa so I just take the bush highway and I'm out of town in about 30min. If it was phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, it would take another 30 min. I have family in Flag and when I go there I drive to Payson and then through lake Mary. The I 17 is horrible so I learned the first few times coming and going to avoid it. There were a few times where it took an hour and a half to get from Greenfield and the 202 to Anthem. If there is a wreck on a Friday, which there always is, it could take 6 hours to get home from Flagstaff. Make sure to think about this if you move to the valley.

AZGFD fubar in the white mountains

I looked it up, just where AZbob said. I look forward to going to it. The Second Knoll I was thinking about was another location. Kind of like Sycamore Canyon, we only have about 4 of those here in AZ.

I haven't heard of any of this. Second Knoll near the pig farms?

    ROC Most Wanted

I don't know why anyone would do business in the residential market. I did work as an employee in the residential field for about 8 years for a GC. I've now been in commercial as an employee for 11 years for a GC. I really notice the difference between the two. Residential is much tougher. In commercial it seems there are much better subs. Also the clients seem to know what costs really are. An example would be Asbestos testing. In residential, people would freak out at the $800 cost. If areas tested hot, then the abatement costs are up there. Another would be fees for Special ins. Permit fees ( county, local, adeq, impact), haul fees, dumpsters, porta johns, etc. All are necessary and I've seen push back in Residential, not much in Commercial.

Do you really need a truck to hunt...

I didn't answer your question. Yes you can hunt with a two wheel drive. I know plenty of people that do. One in my home town has only had two wheel drives for as long as I've known him. He has taken some nice deer. He's a huntin fool too.

Do you really need a truck to hunt...

I would say 4x4 truck. The reason is because of their practicality. You can run to the Depot and toss 10' whatever in the bed on a Tuesday and run to the desert on a Friday. It also helps if you need 4x4 not just to get unstuck, but for the control factor. Sometimes 4x4 keeps you from wheel hop or controlling speed when descending hills. The idea of trailering an ATV is fine, but then you have another expense and items to maintain. Another SUV is fine too, but be careful, because before long, you will have toys and vehicles that cost you a couple thousand a year just to have. That's just my opinion. I'm single and without a wife and kids. If I did, I might have those items everyone mentions because they would be fun for the family and also they could fit in the SUV. If nothing else, 4x4 is a must. It's so nice to turn a knob and pass right through or over or up most anything. This is a good topic.
  22. I saw it this morning. The coolest thing I've seen in a while. It turned the night into day for a second or two. We had a big concrete pour that started at midnight, so there were a lot of us. It was cool to be around a big group of people and get to see their reactions.

    Strip talk

I love those low desert bucks. I also suck at killing them. They always see me and run.
  24. I love both places. I wouldn't mind either one. Like someone said earlier, you can buy an over the counter tag as a non resident if archery is your thing. I think the price is fair too, $250 or so.
