I am looking to pick up a .30-06 for my son. He has an old Remington 7600 and we keep having trouble with it. even had it at a gun smith and still have issues. he has a javelina hunt in feb. looking to get it for him for christmas. What does anyone have that they would be willing to part with? i don't need a scope. Under 500 bucks if possible. Bolt action

Thanks for the offer. I have a 243 also. He likes the 30-06 as an all around gun. Appreciate your willingness to help. Let's see what I can find first. Borrowing a mans gun is like borrowing his wife.

These guys are an awesome group. I have been at a couple of seminars they have put on about different hunting opportunities. The turkey and elk seminars are really helpful. They also run raffles and the money received helps people out. Again top notch guys. Plus the biggest bonus they love Jesus, and hunting. great combo. check them out at Christian Hunters of America

Any illegal action down south this year on deer hunts
andrewmilich replied to Adicted's topic in The Campfire
A couple years ago I was hunting deer around sasabe. I had illegals come to my camp in the middle of the night and start taking our stuff. Even knocked on my trailer doors to see what we would do. I also had a guy drive up on a quad behind my quad and start taking stuff off the back of it while I was on a little berm glassing deer about 30 yards away From my quad. I let a couple shots fly overhead that day. I know there’s good hunting down there but I’ll never go back. -

call Derek 480.688.4359 he is a member here and does welding for a living. I have had him do a couple of jobs for me and the dude is rock solid. I know his wife is about to have baby so he could use the work I am sure......fyi he is a crappy hunter just kidding

That was one of the things I was concerned about is if it picked up exactly what I was trying to range find especially in heavy brush. Or through trees. I’m sure it’s no different than any other rangefinder regarding that. How accurate was the shot placement that he gave you

looking to get one for my son-in-law

I have never shot a muzzleloader and am looking at buying one. Any suggestions would be great. Nothing too pricey as I am not sure how much hunting I will do with it. I know this year I am trying to get a leftover deer tag and muzzleloader is available in a unit I hunt. So I am will to take a shot. (Pun intended) i have a scope already and will put a picatinny rail on it if that works also any suggestions on powder, primers and projectiles weight and size would help. Totally new to muzzleloaders thanks

nope ....otc archery only this year

use this stuff. I use it all the time on brick pavers and rocks. takes about 1 to 2 weeks but totally gone and doesn't come back. looks like it stains a brown color but that washes away . so strong it will even clear up your back hair and rid you of pesky mother-in-laws

need help with a Remington 7600 pump .30-06
andrewmilich posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have an older Remington 7600 pump .30-06 that I am having issues with. This was my father-in-law's rifle and he gave it to my son. Since then my father-in-law passed away and my son wants to use it this fall on a deer hunt in honor of him. It is having clip and ejector issues. can someone on this site direct me to a gun smith who can do some work on it. thanks so much -
called him today and seeing if he will come to north phoenix
