I have a pair of these. Glass is clear even in early mornings or late evenings. Even does a great job looking at stars at night. I don't really like the eyecups, but then again you are looking at the spotting scope. The new Legend are quite a step above the old and entry level Bushnell. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bushnell-reg-Legend-Ultra-HD-x-Binoculars/748883.uts

Just getting into muzzleloader any suggestions
khmer6 replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
was it hard to push in or your palm hurting? the newer CVA have the palm saver. kind of a round rubber end of the ram rod. After a few rounds, the sabots do have a hard time going down, i usually spit clean every couple rounds -
yeah without reloading i would just go to another caliber. Can't really play too much with the variables. but 1:8 should stablilize a good variety of bullets including the heavier stuff. oh course magazine length would limit it some too. hows the herd doing up there? they getting roudy and noisy yet?
-
People hunt deer with bolt 223 all across the nation No mag limit bullet choice depends on the twist of your barrel, would go for the heaviest and accurate it can stabilize. There are some good 223 projectiles these days to handle the task. Do you reload or off the shelf?

call AZDHS, see if its something they can test? Some of those bears and lions that wander off get set there for testing rabies.

what part of 20c? If you are in the south east area there's a few in Wickenberg. If closer to 20a definitely look into those guys in Prescott.

Carrying Extra Rounds in the Field
khmer6 replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
LOL! Thanks for the laugh! Save yourself $400 or so, buy you a used xd-40, 9 or 45 or Glock 22/23 and call it a day My xd has seen some serious carry time, been refinished twice and still shoots like a house'a fire! I never jump in my truck to go into the woods with out it! Or in case of bears find a used Glock 29 and load up some Buffalo Bore or some Double Tap and hang on tight! -
i'll eat it for you

It peaked my interest when I first heard about it. But feels just like a gimmick after you factor it all in. Just looking to put impressive numbers on paper. 4000fps sounds great. But not being able to reload and rifle and ammo costing the same as other varmint rifle/cartridge I lost interest

Does the 375 Ruger have a place in AZ?
khmer6 replied to khmer6's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I've compared numerous 375 bullets with known book velocities and worked up loads in Quickload. The trajectory of the 270 and 300 (depending on bullet) are pretty close. I went with the Sierra GK 300gr because of the higher BC. Hornady use to bake a BTSP 300gr as well but can't locate any. Sierra makes an impressive 350gr SMK! not sure if that bullet profile would be H&H friendly though. Still trying to find a lighter bullet 225-270 with really good BC that doesn't break the bank. -
question about auto repairs versus buying a new car
khmer6 replied to naturegirl's topic in The Campfire
I think you have a right to demand OEM but I could be wrong. Depends on your insurance company and what you are paying for. They can have a clause where they don't have to use OEM parts.Yup. Depends on insurance company but usually it's the front and rear bumper cover they won't replace with OEM even as requested. -
Robar NP3!!! always loved that finish

I have a pair of Irish Setter boots. They are extremely comfortable and durable. So long as your not bending over and squatting a lot, don't really notice them. easy on easy off when you are back at camp too.

i hear that caliber is quite effective short range but requires a muzzle break

their system automatically orders stuff. they had a huge drum of 7.62 tracers sit arounf for a very long time. i laughed many times every week when i walked by it. they are shady, even up the ladder to HQ and customer service. I will never go there again, I rather pay Bruno's a little more than feed them anymore of my money. And even Brunos prices on many things are cheaper than sportsmanwarehouse! their customer service is horrible, they burned me on a couple boxes of projectiles even afterr committing to send the other half of my order to me!! They lost a customer and others for life over stupid 30 bucks. they didn't even bother to appologize or show any concern. Jenni Rigio and her team should be ashamed for their 22lr hoarding and poor customer service. Same thing probably happens with pistol powder. I've seen KEGS of pistol powder just laying out on the counter before, and the list is always void of any 8# of any pistol powder.

Do you need a permit to harvest or is our hunting license a permit to be on state trust and harvest

So the outcry wins and the FS stopped the plan?

Big Brown truck dropped it off. Its not aesthetically pleasing but I don't really care. Plenty of walnut stock rifles that already don't play with. Hope she shoots well and can handle some hot loads ;-) -

You can find a CVA magnum new production for 100to150 if you want to just get your feet wet. They group pretty good. They really push the powerbelt bullets but sabot work well too
