I’ve owned Swarvo HDs and Meoptas and have used the Swarvo non HDs. I liked Meoptas more than non HD Swarvo. Side by side on tripods viewing a windmill that that was a mile or so away, they ( Swarvo HDs and Meopta) were pretty identical in clarity. The Swarvo HDs had a slight bluish tint compared to the Meopta. The Swarvo HDs also had a little more magnification which was weird since both were 15s. Very slight but it was there. Im older (50s) so I had my kids look thru them. They agreed with what I was seeing. I ended up with 3 pairs of Meoptas for myself and the 2 boys. And I’m happy with the choice. As far as resale goes. New Meoptas are $1200-$1250 and used ones sell fast at $900-$950. I’ve never seen them half priced myself. Most guys want a grand for newer used pairs.

Getting a few quotes back. A 30x40 DIY carport kit starts around $6500 add about $1K for each enclosed side or the back engineered plans $550 add tax and you’re at $10K this doesn’t include a slab, I was quoted $6K or $5 per sq ft, I’m leaning towards gravel -

Anyone have recommendations for a large carport/shade contractor or supplier? I'm flexible on design and size, but want to fit an RV, boat and SXS. Assembled or DIY kit. If anyone has general advise on what to purchase or stay away from, please pass it on. thanks, Jim -
Tikka hunters series will give you that wood stock and great accuracy.

34A Early Rifle hunt expectations / tips
no worries replied to lamrith's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I’ve got the same hunt this year. I didn’t even check the lunar calendar. It’s been super dry so far. Shade (deep cuts) and trails to water will be my focus. Other than the hard rut, I find bucks together. -
With that outfit, I might even get lucky.

The video with the snow seems really clear. What was it recorded with? Some nice bucks too. Biggest Coues I’ve seen was too close to a couple of houses to even hunt him. Go figure.

My understanding is that is what’s left of the launch ramp. There’s a sign there that gives details of the failed attempt. Evil spent over 1 million dollars back in 1974 on the stunt. He rented this property and hired engineers. I’m assuming his launch ramp consisted of much more than a dirt pile.

The Shoeshone Falls are impressive as well
-
Yep. Shoeshine Falls Idaho. This is the remains of where Evil Kenevil attempted to jump the Snake River in 1974. Epic failure on the jump but it captivated America. 300 mph Harley trying to cross a 1600 foot wide canyon.
-
All that work just to possibly get laid. Makes dinner and a night out look pretty lame.
-
Nope. Nice try but it’s in Idaho. Somewhat famous spot.

Is it me or does his eye guards look really small compared to his G2s and overall rack?
