I know that Stealth Cam recommends a full size SD but I have several micro SD cards laying around. It would be nice to put them to use. Is anyone using micros? I can do some testing before I put them in the field but It really blows to find out that a camera failed and doesn’t have images. Thanks Jim

I’m not a fear monger and see this virus as an opportunity for jackass politicians on both sides to benefit themselves and their friends at our expense. The reaction will cause more damage than the virus. With that said, I found out that one of the pediatricians where I took my kids died today after being diagnosed with Corona 4 days ago. She had a heart condition but was healthy enough to practice medicine. So, I’m just saying be careful ,take care of yourself and your family. I’ll keep living my life and go about my business but I’ll be one of those foolish looking guys wearing a mask in public and cleaning my hands a lot.

I have a cheap Amazon plastic attachment for my IPhone 8 Plus to use with my spotter. It seems to take a lot of effort to align each time. Any suggestions on a better adapter? Novascope double gripper looks nice but it’s pricey at $169. Also, the HME spot shot is interesting but I don’t think it’s big enough to fit my eyepiece. thanks Jim

Kinda went thru the same scenario last year with trying to pattern a big buck. A coworker told me about a giant buck that he had seen a few times over the years and wasn’t hunting anymore. I went out and set 5 cameras over salt in the area. Does and fawns hit it multiple times daily and some decent bucks as well. Not the big guy though. Not one pic on any camera. Both my kids killed smaller bucks during the youth hunt off the same mountain, but no sighting of the one I was after during the four days hunting. My late hunt came and I hunted that spot the first day, 5 bucks but nothing big. Next morning we spotted a shooter but it wasn’t him either. It disappeared into the flats and we didn’t even go after him. Checked trail cams again, no pics of him. Decided to hunt a different mountain that afternoon and got trigger happy on another buck. I thought he would break 100 but he was a bit shy. A bow hunter killed him in January while he was sparring. Knarly looking old buck with a double main beam on one side. I pulled my cards in February and still don’t have a single pic of him alive. 5 cameras and prolly 10 days glassing ( hunts and scouting) and never saw him. Good luck with finding him. Let us know how it works out. Hindsight would have me position the cameras more toward the bottom of the cuts. 3 of my cameras were way up the mountain. Pain to check them and they produced less pics than my low cameras.

RL 16 and 143 ELDX works in both Tikka 260s we own. They are T3 models and I use a 6.5 CM mag box ( called an M+) which allows longer cartridge length. You can also shave down the bolt stop if needed to accommodate the longer bullets.
