+1 on a set of Meopta 15x56 with a tripod add a small or midsized spotter with whatever budget you have remaining, but I would buy good Binos first

Kowa 662 spotter (straight) SOLD. $450 shipped

I have a 664M and they are pretty much optical twins. ( at least to my mature eyes) I’m selling the 662 instead of the 664M only because it’s usually easier to sell a $500 spotter than one for $750. I’ll probably list them together and keep one or the other. -

300 Win Mag hunting loads

Lots of good info and advice. I ordered 3 boxes of loaded Berger ammo last night. It’s the 215 hybrid. I believe Berger uses Nosler brass which I need anyway. Thanks Jim -

Thanks guys. I should of been more specific. I have a 280 AI shooting 168 Bergers and want the 300 as a backup for deer and anything larger. So, I’m looking for a deer/elk round heavier than what I already have. Factory ammo suggestions and handload are welcome. Most likely will start with factory stuff and reload it later. CA Mesa is 24 inch, 10 twist lightweight contour. I’ve read a few reviews on factory ammo and most seem to run a lot slower than advertised. I hope to be pushing 3K with the 180s or 2900 with heavier bullets. Thanks Jim -
