Great memories there. Nice to see that Darren shoots lefty with a right handed rifle, I'm not the only odd ball. LOL

A couple of great bucks. Her buck has really cool stripes by the eyes. Good teamwork.

Cool. Thanks for sharing. -
That's a tough first elk hunt. Nice work staying with it. Nice bull and 200 plus with a muzzy is solid shooting.

Go to a shop with a large selection and let her pick out one that fits her and feels right. Shoulder a bunch of them, even if they are the wrong caliber. You’ll get an idea of what she likes. I would stick to 6.5 CM or 7-08. Fun to shoot and you don’t need a brake. If you need more horsepower later, buy her another rifle. 😁

The user manual is available on their website if you don't have one. Look under products. rangefinders, 2800, product resources.

Glad to hear that she is doing better and congrats on a fine elk.

Congrats on a 3 for 3 hunt. Nice work.

Great job getting it done out there. Solid first deer and the first of many I’m sure. Nice to hear that he had the patience to wait for the right shot. That snake is downright scary 3 out of 3 is awesome. Nice work dad.

Great buck. Sounds like you guys did your homework and it paid off.

I’ve had the 8 plus for a few months. It’s a company issued phone and at first I wasn’t a fan of the large size. Hard to slip it into a pocket and I don’t wear the holster. It took about a month to adjust and I really like it now. Reception is very good and the battery life seems better than the smaller phones. The large screen rocks.

Great powder fo under $20 a pound. 👍

Hopefully will have some time next week to give it a try. I’m not set up to reload yet, I dropped off a box of Nosler brass and a box of 162 eldx at a buddy’s house to start with. Its a 9 twist 24 inch # 5 custom barrel, I’m guessing it will like the 160-175 bullets. Ill post some targets/load data and ask for advice as I go thru load development. -
Plus 1 for a pellet smoker/grill. Nice to be able to crank it up for a fantastic steak.

Wow. That was a great find. Being able to spot this in a pile of antlers is awesome.
-
Way to get it done.

Just want to wish all the youth hunters good luck. Be safe and enjoy the time spent out there. Post some stories!!

Going to be selling a pair of binos after this week's youth hunt. They are the 15x56 HD "euros" sold thru Cabelas and produced by Meopta. These are excellent optics. Glass is in perfect shape and the body is in really good shape as well. No cuts ,nicks in the armor. Objective lens covers are a little loose fitting, I'll check to see if replacements are available.
