No Tags, I drew number 170 out of 200. Came close to not even getting the “Hail Mary” fifth choice. It seems like every year I have more friends/family get skunked on tags. Putting in for premium tags is risky, I just put in for middle season hunts these days.

I drew my 5th choice, 30A Coues tag. Better than no tag but my lottery number must of been really big. My first 4 choices weren’t even top shelf either. One of those years. 🙁

I compared them side by side along with Meopta 15s. We were looking at a windmill about a mile away. All three of us ranked them as 1rst Swarvo HD 2nd Meopta 3rd Swarvo non HD All 3 were excellent. Very slight advantage to the HD. Noticed the color was more blue on HD than Meopta and objects appeared slightly larger than Meopta. Not sure how old/used the non HD Swarvo were. (Also, my eyes are pretty old but the other 2 testers were teenagers at the time. )

What about direct burial, like Romex?

That’s interesting because I spoke with one of their sales rep/engineer a couple years back. I asked him about a 15x pure model and he stated that it wasn’t possible due to the prism design. The pure type prisms would be to large at 15x. I guess they figured out a solution. Good news for us but bad news for our wallets.
