Going to be selling a pair of binos after this week's youth hunt. They are the 15x56 HD "euros" sold thru Cabelas and produced by Meopta. These are excellent optics. Glass is in perfect shape and the body is in really good shape as well. No cuts ,nicks in the armor. Objective lens covers are a little loose fitting, I'll check to see if replacements are available.

Anyone have info on the 34A camp for the Oct youth hunt. I heard that it was moved to the Sonoita rodeo grounds, but haven’t seen any details. Neither of my kids drew that tag, but the 16 year old wants to volunteer at camp. Thanks Jim

Crowbait, It seems that there is always a need for help (mentors) at the youth camps. You will need to go to G&F website to register as mentor for these camps. I think that the unit 33 youth camp organizers have a post on this forum asking for help as well. Hope you can make it out to one of the camps.

I'm left eye dominant and prefer a right hand bolt gun unless it has a huge cheek rest (since it's a waste for me on the other side). As a kid, there were not any left hand rifles available for me to use and I learned to cycle the RH bolts. Now I prefer them, lefty rifles feel strange. Never noticed any problem making scope adjustments. I also like keeping my shooting hand (left) in place while cycling the bolt with my right hand, kinda keeps me in position better. Both my kids shoot right handed and we can share rifles. Your kid will be fine no matter which way you decide to go. Lots of options will work if you find time to practice them.

Good luck this weekend with your 2 hunters. We are trying to make it down to help out and will look you up if we make it.
