I've had a few Tikkas and really like the smooth action and great accuracy. Pretty light weight as well. Shoulder a few brands and cycle the bolt, then choose your favorite. Hard to go wrong with any of them.

6.5 PRC or 6.5 SS If I was putting that much $$ into a build , I wouldn't build a CM or a 260. ( I do like both of those calibers, just would want a lil more horsepower) You can always develop a mild practice load and a hotter one to hunt with. Disclaimer!! I have very little experience with custom rifles or reloading. But, I do enjoy watching others spend a lot of money on cool rifles.

I've used the the 263 for a few years. It's my "go to" tripod, but none of mine are high end. The 264 will be a little easier to fit inside a pack if you need/want it inside. The weight doesn't bother me since I usually carry 10 times as much chit as I'll ever need anyway. I ditched the factory ball head and mounted a Manfrotto 700 RC2. Next time I'll try a bare one and spend the extra $$ on another 700 RC2.
