I have wanted to buy a toy hauler for about 15 years but could never pull the trigger for one reason or another. I almost bought notags trailer when he was upgrading but we were in the process of building a new house. Now I have the money but I have done the math as well. For my situation, it is better to rent a couple times a year than to buy. I still sleep well in my kodiak canvas tent when it's just me or with the boys. When wife or girls want to go, I can rent. Perhaps, when I retire I may change my mind? Matter or fact, if anyone in the show low area has a travel trailer they would like to rent for a week or 10 days at end of May or first part of June let me know. Nothing real big or fancy as it will most likely be just be me and the wife. We want to camp along east fork of black river or big lake. John 623-680-4458

A3 Golden Boy Jed Larson Convicted of Poaching

I hate to say it but things are changing and they will change even faster over next 10-15 years(probably sooner). Study history and you will see the same thing when we went from horse and buggy to automobile about 115 years ago. There were a lot of naysayers back then too. Auto companies are investing more of their money in alternative fuel vehicles and less in the internal combustion engine. The big push will come when they make a truck that is close to what we have now. Millenials & Gen Z's really love their Green stuff. This demographic is Waaay different than the generations before and they have no patience for the boomers. Things never go backwards. -
In just about all aspects of life I'm truly amazed at how many people can't follow the last S.

I have never hunted spring turkey in 27 before but I spend time there every year usually in late May or early June. I can honestly say I can't ever remember not seeing turkeys there. The birds are everywhere and I believe the 2011 Wallow fire has done nothing but good things for all the wildlife in unit 27 & 1. Good luck

Is this in a unit where G&F says they exist or in an area where they are not acknowledged? Just looking at terrain it looks like unit 1 or 27 to me.

I wonder if this will become the new norm? ANYTIME our country faces a crises, whether it be a health, economic, military or natural the powers that be will want to shut it down or solve it artificially.

A friend who works at costco in Prescott said today was the busiest day so far. He starts work at 4:00 am and people were already starting to line up. He attributed it to the governors directive.

Man..... What I would give to have and hour or two just to look over these. If I was closer to you I would snap those up in a heart beat. -

I have the 2nd hunt so I'm hoping a miracle vaccine drops down upon us before April 11th. As far as getting a refund or at least a tag next year goes I sent in my 2021 spring turkey money back in February. So San Carlos Apache Tribe has $480 of mine already. No name calling or hard feelings I just want to call turkeys & hunt.

I guess I need to start playing golf again because it is still allowed. I can only afford one expensive habit.

Well that sucks. My question is what is the their rationing when they made this decision? Being out in nature is what we should all be doing. What's up with their website? It's been down for months.

Not sure if it is open now but when my boys were hunting the Jr. OTC turkey hunts they used to open the road the day before the season started on Thursday morning. Many years we were the first ones in our hunting area.

I haven't heard anything but I have the 2nd hunt that opens April 11th. Not sure why they would close it because I rarely see a soul when I am on the res. They have social distancing down to a science.

Anyone been around lake Mary or Ashurst lake in the last day or two? How much snow is still on the ground or has much of it melted already?

You have a much better chance of keeping your feet dry if you wear gaiters. When your pant legs get wet, the moisture seeps down your socks into your feet. Believe me, gaiters are great in snow, rain, or walking in talk grass with dew.

Using salt and cameras to locate a specific buck
knothead replied to LonePineOutdoors_AZ's topic in Coues Biology
Don't really want to change subject but this kind of relates. How close do you put salt licks to one another? Is 1/4 mile to close. I would rather have one good salt lick location than 3 or 4 so so locations. Strictly archery most likely from a double bull blind. Thanks for replies. -
I agree turkeys are everywhere in the unit but I think I see more in the lower country that has draws with roosting trees. I once counted a flock of 47 turkeys and drove about 3/4 mile further and saw another flock with 20+ birds. Mind you, this was in the fall and not spring.
